Shea's name is already in the directory. The other two are not as of yet.

EDIT: WD is claiming it's a fake, but I'm a UM-Dearborn student and it comes up on email so idk.

So are there any lawyers here that would have any idea as to how these guys are going to pursue getting the NCAA waivers?  Are committment letters essentially contracts?  If so, is it possible that these "contracts" would be voided due to misrepresentation?  Is there a different angle that I'm missing?

NCAA bylaws permit waiver of the transfer rules in certain circumstances. Ole Miss’ situation appears to qualify for to the 2 year bowl bam. The players have retained council and, almost certainly, have been advised they will be cleared to play. I’m sure Michigan has also done due diligence in this regard.

What am I missing about Patterson?  Why does everyone think he's a superstar?  He blew out his PCL in Oct and these are his stats for the year:

63.5 percent of his passes for 2,259 yards with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Not hatin'.  I just don't know anything about him.

edit: I see now he was the #1 QB in 2016.  But rankings aren't everything.  We've had plenty of highly ranked 5* duds.  That said, I hope he comes in and competes with Peters and McCaffrey

so ole miss is receiving sanctions from the ncaa for violations.  now, we as fans knew that many players that headed to the rebels possibly went there as a result of bagmen.  it seemed obvious. i don't now the details of the ncaa findings, and these players that are currently being recruited by JH have not been implicated to date that i'm aware.  however, what if it comes out that one or more of them did, in fact, receive some illegal benefits while at ole miss?  and what if the info comes out during the season or after they play at UM?  would UM risk forfeiture of games they participated in?  i expect a huge year with or without these players next year.  is there any risk here?

I think that is a risk worth considering, but if we've considered it you can be damned sure the coaching staff & legal/compliance departments have looked into it as well.  And after considering it, they have either determined that that isn't a concern for these 3 players, or if it is, the upside potential is well worth the downside risk.

Was no let's just develop our own QB. But then I looked at some of his tape.

Now I really hope we get this guy. If we do, the sky is the limit with him.

We would instantly be as good or better than our 2016 team.
