OT: New Way to Lose for Lions
Tate scores go ahead TD with 0:08s to go, but is ruled down just shy of goal ine. Because it was reviewed with less than 0:10s remaining in the game, a 10s runoff is in effect, ending the game. Unbelievable. How many different ways can this team lose a game?

That awkward moment when I didn't vote for him.
My first election and I voted for Harbaugh or a Harbaugh in every single box but 6

in the election, I'm disappointed in you at making the mockery of the election.

Well hey, they say vote...they never say you have to vote for the two primary candidates, right?
But, no politics...so nevermind.

I'm pretty sure the two money party candidates made a mockery of the election, and whichever of those two dolts won would make a mockery of the presidency.

WD that's a politics warning. You don't get another.

Why does it piss you off? Why do you care? This seems so strange to me. They're doing something as a statement that doesn't affect anyone else in the least.

Kneeling is a sign of respect-
some might say a deeper sign of respect than standing. It's just different. An individual should have the right- if not the moral obligation- to express one's opinion and calling attention to ways the flag/anthem/military/government/country (which have been conflated in a dubious way) do not yet live up to their stated ideals or potential.

10 second runoff needs to be changed. Not the lions fault. Not this time. And I'm the biggest lions doubter there is.

there's no way they reverse that call so the runoff is moot. That wasn't conclusive to overturn. It was closer to confirm than to stands FFS.

Was he even down? And if he was, was he touched?
I had the game on the 2nd TV, I was rewatching Michigan on the big screen. #Priorities.

Grasping for the refs to help out? Are you fucking drunk? The refs getting the call wrong is exactly what cost the Lions a chance to win.

Pride of Detroit has video up.
Basically they decided that Tate instantly completed the process of the catch despite that not being the usual rule when you're going to the ground because his shin is down when he starts to catch the ball at the half yard line.
Second: obvious uncalled PI.
September 24th, 2017 at 5:05 PM ^
we need instant replay for the instant replay
September 24th, 2017 at 10:36 PM ^
This is an interesting point.
If he had caught the ball at the end line or on the sideline, he would have been ruled out of bounds at the completion of the catch; yet at the goal line, he was considered down before the completion of the catch.
