Guess Who's Ranked No. 1 in Total Defense?

Submitted by markusr2007 on

After 4 games the Michigan defense is ranked No. 1 in the nation in Yards Per Play (3.52) and Yards Per Game (203.0).

Michigan's rushing defense is currently ranked 4th, giving up 69 YPG, just ahead of Alabama.

Michigan's scoring defense is tied for 12th (13.0 PPG), tied with the Scott Frosts.

Notable perhaps too that Michigan is ranked as high as 8th in the nation in Passing Yards Allowed (134 ypg):

Impressive work thus far, but MSU, @Indiana and @PSU loom ahead.

Congrats to the defense for a great start of the season. Don Brown is definitely worth the money they pay him. However with success comes poachers. I wonder how many schools will come offering him a head coaching position and top money? I wonder if he would be interested?

I don't think we have to worry about Don Brown being poached away for a head coaching job.  Any program that would be able to offer him enough money for him to condider it, isn't gonna hire a head coach that old.   And if a MAC school or the equivalent offers him a head coach position, the money probable won't be much better than what he's paid here.

That the numbers back up What we see.

Go Blue.  Bo proud

But when they pat you on the back and tell you how good you are, turn around and smack them in the face.  Job not done.   That's Bo.

Just give Don Brown "Forever Money" and be done with it.

Not that I think he plans or would even want to leave. He seems to really be enjoying working with the talent Michigan can bring in.

Our defense is like the cover of "Smell The Glove".

It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black.
