I don't get the conference concept anyway.. just let the top 16 teams in the playoffs regardless of conference or division nonsense. NFL needs to do the same too.

I think it made more sense when air travel was harder and it wasn't reasonable to play everyone all that often. But yeah, it's weird that half of the playoff teams come from geography.
A good compromise is the 6 teams that win a division are given an automatic bid and then the next 10 are from the best of the rest.

I don't give three whip-shits about the NBA either. Carmelo Anthony in particular.
Go Blue! No Spoilmaking today! Team!

Pretty mutually beneficial trade for both teams. As you said, the West is gonna be fun to watch next year! And when Bron jets to LA for the 2018-2019 season, who will the East even have?

Melo and Westbrook. Two ball-dominating superstars with wildly different styles of play. United at last in a match made in basketball heaven.

Paul George is in OKC now as well. Could get interesting.

I can't remotely see that working out. That's what shocked me about the trade - Melo is a very particular type of player, and "working well without the ball" is not remotely his type.

You put Melo on a trash Knicks team, and you'll seem him dominate the ball and loaf on defense. Put him on a team like the '12 Olympic squad, and he can look legitimately elite. He's not getting any younger, and there's definitely a chance that this Thunder team never meshes and we see Bad Melo. But it's definitely not out of the question that Melo makes this team way better.

OK?
Melo is easily the most overrated player in the past decade. He's literally made it out of the first round once, and that was almost 10 years ago. I'll wager that OKC wont even be a top 4 seed still
