OT: Game of Thrones S7 E4- The Spoils of War
Her entire surviving family has these learned skills and abilities that she simply doesn't have. One is a master assassin, another was brought back from the dead, and the third knows literally everything that has ever happened and will ever happen. Meanwhile, Sansa is just becoming more like her mother. Not hard to fathom what her deal is.
presidential and diplomatic. Together they form Voltron!
you are correct. Sansa learned from Cersei, Tyrion and Littlefinger how to be strategic, diplomatic, political, conniving, etc.
She is a vastly changed character as well, and much more pragmatic and hardened than her mother. Probably not jealousy as much as shock and awe.
...and the third knows literally everything that has ever happened and will ever happen....
I don't think that's quite true. He has to connect with a weirwood, then "travel" to various times & places. He has the potential to know many things, but I wouldn't say he knows everything, as that takes time. And he still has to come back to his body in order to convey his knowledge. He's still learning his powers, and there's the potential to get lost in his visions.
Alright, he may not have read every article, but he has firm access to the entirety of the internet (including everyone's private server), and does nothing besides surf the web all day long. Does this analogy suffice?
I think she's just coming to the realization that even with as much as she's changed, everyone and everything she knew from her old life has changed too.
Her sister is a ruthless assassin. Her younger brother is now an emotionless man who can see everything. Her half-brother (or cousin?) was made King in the North. They all seem to have these extraordinary abilities or titles, to the point where they're not the siblings she once knew.
I don't think she's jealous. She's come into her own and effectively rules the North in Jon's absence, and who knows if he'll ever make it back. But she's been fighting so long to get back home and to get back to whatever is left of her family. Now that what's left of her family is back, it's not the same as it was. Just further separating her from what's left of her old life.
Jamie would have had more success against the dragon if he and his men had just done this:
really thought I heard " Chaos is Atlanta."
Having flown through Hartsfield I totally agree.

It is hard to pick up on some things LF says with his accent that changes from season to season.
Yes. But that was a Bran line.
Anyone else think the Dothraki general's comments to Tyrion about how his people are bad fighters was a bull shit? I mean, how well would a dothraki horde do against a dragon breathing down hell fire upon them?

Yeah, I thought that was pretty dumb as well. Your side isn't the one getting cooked in their own armor, let's have a little humility. After all, the Targaeryens initially took over Westeros with an even smaller army because they had dragons and took out almost everyone during the Fields of Fire.
You're making the mistake of thinking the Dothraki have humility. They live for war and violence, and not much else.
What mistake? I made a meta-comment and not an in-story character evaluation comment.

but the narrative purpose was to pan to Tyrion and show a tinge of sadness about actually seeing his men, some of whom were relatives, former friends, etc. get torched. That was the payoff of the Ed Shereen scene that was meant to humanize those soldiers.
Fair enough. I still laughed out loud at that comment and had to explain how absurd it was to my wife. As if the horde would fight any better in the face of a firebreathing dragon. In all honesty the fact that the Lannister army didn't immediately break ranks after the first fire burst shows how disciplined they were.

My favorite part of the episode was
"Chaos is a ladder."
Chills.
Littlefinger knows he's fucked. And he's going to go about it in a way that gets him killed. Can't wait.

That scene and the look that Arya gave LF was awesome. I think Bran has seen that Arya kills LF with the dagger.
Once Bran informs Arya that LF held a dagger to their father's throat in utter betrayal when the Lannisters took him captive (and eventually killed him), Lord Baelish is a dead man.
1. I think Tyrion is headed for an Anakin Skywalker moment of choice.
2. When flying one's dragon around a "RonCO Giant Ass Crossbow" (tm) it probably makes sense to quickly circle and then approach from the rear of it before tiny man can spin unwieldly heavy iron object toward you.
Obvious plan sounds obvious, but the RonCo moved pretty quickly in Bronn's hands last night. I agree that it can be done, but Dany's definitely going to have to hone her battlefield tactics.
People/Beasts are only able to follow a straight path in GoT. RIP Rickon.
Travel in straight path, fall down when bumped. Derrick Green school of Dragon Riding?
he's the only Stark to be killed since the Red Wedding.
After their rough start, the Starks have been amongst the most resilient on the show.
I wonder how many millions of adults have a college level understanding of the history of Westeros but can't name the last 5 presidents.
1. Tommen Baratheon
2. Joffrey Baratheon
3. Robert Baratheon
4. Aerys Targaryen
5. Jaehaerys Targaryen
Hey, what about Stannis & Renly Baratheon? And Robb Stark and Jon Snow? And now Daenerys Targareon, who's back in Westeros?
I thought about listing them, but they never sat on the Iron Throne.
If anything I should have listed Cersi Lannister because she upgraded to the Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Realm, but she is currently sitting the Iron Throne.
...when Danerys told Jon Snow to put aside his pride and bend the knee, for Jon to come back with "What about your pride? Why must I bend the knee for you to help save the human race?"
