Apparel: more new Jordan/Nike Michigan gear

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

The last time I did one of these some things happened.

Back on the horse though. It's the dog days of summer, and any Michigan thread is a good one.

$30- The little rectangles are supposed to resemble service ribbons. At least that's what I see when up close to the gear.

All of the gear has this theme for 2017. I've been to MDen a couple times in the last two months and have seen them up close.

$100- shorts have zippered pockets.

$26

$32- these hats are what the staff will wear this season on the sidelines. Not Harbaugh, obviously because he wears the Bo M.

They also came out with a khaki hat-

$45

Everything below has not yet hit MDen yet. They're getting another Nike shipment very soon and most of this stuff should be up there.

$85- Sideline polo for the staff

$55- These shorts have sold out in almost every size on Nike.com

$80

$26

$26

$95- ***I strongly recommend you buy a size up whenever buying Jordan/Nike hoodies***

$70

Love the idea of a khaki hat, but can't understand...

  1. Why wouln't they use the skinny M?  Seems like clear nod to Harbaugh, so this seems like an obvious oversight.
  2. Why wouldn't they have a fitted option?  Never cared for adjustable hats...especially when they are more expensive.

how Nike can afford to pay out all this money to colleges. They charge and arm and leg for their gear. $85 for a polo, $100 for a pair of shorts?????

Almost all of this is ugly as sin.  Those shorts with the yellow band on the bottom?  Give me a break.

The DriFit shirt is about all I would consider but not at $70.

most of that stuff is way over priced.  I'm sure it's good quality but I would never pay for that myself.  I'll put it on my Christmas or birthday wish list but I'm not paying extra for clothing just because it has the jordan logo on it.

I went to MDen.com and saw that basically everything that I want in my size is sold out.  I have been waiting for them to stock a Dri-Fit navy polo with the block M and Jordan logo so I can wear it out golfing... but no dice!

This is one time when I would enjoy living near Ann Arbor to run up and see if they have it in the store.

Are there any jordan-michigan shorts that are mesh or cotton?  I got the shorts released last year, and always feels like I'm wearing a baithing suit.

Thanks for posting WD! I appreciate you taking your time and keeping us updated on the new apparel for the upcoming season. Keep up the good posts and don't let your haters ever stop that. Go Blue!!

Nothing screams amateurism like a #5 Peppers jersey. Just a damn shame there's not enough money to pay these "student-athletes"

Yes, I'm not implying everything is not on the up and up. I just find it interesting that apparel companies / universities always seem to feature the numbers / likenesses of the most popular players (everybody was rocking the #16 when Denard was around and I don' t think it was being worn as a throwback Navarre jersey) but prevent the players from receiving anything in return.

I love that a discussion about other good players in the conference is deemed superfluous and a joke, but a thread about $100 shorts has reached over 100 comments. And yeah, I am totally ignoring my own advice to not click on threads I don't care about. That said, I do like bear hat.
