Chris Collins attempting to hire Billy Donlon

Weak man.
Apparently the two are good buds.
I read the article. So did Sam Webb, who said a raise would stave this off. Michigan got cheap, again.
particularly given your recent history. Warde ain't that stupid to not outbid Northwestern. There are other, more logical reasons to explain this.
First, you are assuming that Beilein wanted both of them, and Warde decided against a pay raise. Unless you are either Beilein or Warde, you have no idea that to be true. Neither does Sam Webb.
Second, you are assuming that increased salary that would have kept them here was reasonable. What if they were asking for 2 million
Third, you are assuming that Sam Webb knows what he is talking about. He could be just guessing.
I am fairly certain that if Beilein really wanted either one and their demands were reasonable, Warde would not have turned down Beilein. From what I know, Warde has utmost respect for Beilein (I worked with Warde at UConn and talked to him after taking the job at UM).
Goes up every passing day.
If you had to give those guys a million more per and they are worth it for the program, don't blink an eye.
That amount of money to Michigan is miniscule.
It is 100% accurate that this isn't about money. Michigan and Warde Manuel are doing/have done everything they can to keep him. Including offer more money.
I wouldn't be shocked of Donlon confirms this if he does leave (sounds like it's close to official) and gets a chance to speak on it.
This is a flat out lie. I know that for a fact.
EDIT: Looks like you "confirm" this yourself below. Next time wait and think before blatantly positing shit that's not true.
Michigan basketball has had a great strength and conditioning coach. Camp Sanderson has helped numerous Michigan players.
I just saw that OSU is bringing in a new S&C coach for Basketball.

Please tell me that Jon Sanderson is solid at Michigan and not going anywhere.
you cagey british bastard!
Shitty if true
He sems to be blaming Warde Manuel, which would be the proper outlet if this was a monetary thing, which I'm not necessarily convinced of.
He would not have turned down Beilein. If JB had gone to him asking for a raise, Warde would have accepted it. Warde is not afraid of spending money -- just look at what JH has spent during the last 2 years.
and not have let them leave. What's so hard about that?
He has no idea what's going on and has is ready to bash Beilein at every turn.
Money is NOT the issue. I know firsthand. I can state this as fact.
Just let the man make a decision for him and his family.
I'm done with this thread. Between this and Maizen, you all are not only clueless...you're disgusting with your uninformed drivel.
YOU DICK!!
UPDATE:
Per Webb they tried to increase his salary, not sure by how much though. Also sounds like he's gone anyways.
This isn't good.
Collins is trying to POACH Donlon from UM.
I can live with the fact that even after the Final Four run this program still can't recruit at an elite level, but I don't think it's too much to ask to not lose coaches to Butler and Northwestern.
I feel for you and for what you think is too much to ask.
Sometimes, things happen. Think of this as an opportunity, not a loss.
Well we need a big man coach and a defensive coordinator.
May have to look at top assistants from teams with fire head coaches. Georgetown, NC State, Indiana, etc.
Or maybe you really can pull one of those head coaches to sit on the sideline for a year until he gets his next gig after the season. They have no reason to financially, but you may be able to pull a Jedd Fisch type situation for a year or two. It's definitely worth a shot.
