The Harbaugh stories were great. It turns out Chase Goodbread has several other articles highlighting Michigan players.

"I thought De'Veon Smith had a good first day. I was impressed with him that, in the passing game at 228 pounds, how quick-footed he was," said NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock. "He did a nice job against some linebackers in one-on-one drills. When they're in shorts and it's one-on-one pass drills, the running back should win on a linebacker. But you try to look at the skill set, the traits, and what I saw was quick feet and change of direction. And he has that at 228 pounds. He's got quick feet and showed soft hands."

"After our Utah game his first year, he was frustrated with the wide receivers' blocking, so the Monday after the game, he tried to demonstrate on the podium. He gets a little running start, blocks the podium, and the whole thing just falls apart, wood shattered everywhere."

I can only imagine Harbaugh doing that. He is truly a character and I'm glad he's our coach.

Best part of the story is when everyone's all serious until he starts making light of it. They were all in shock, not knowing what to do, then they started having some fun.

When did that happen?  I think that's the second time I've seen it post-school, so maybe he chose to nickname himself for the NFL?  Or maybe it's a typo that went viral?  Can't be another NLF player with the same name who's claiming rights...

in the principle of leading by example and learning by doing. Though few of us I believe would find useful life lessons from getting hit by mail trucks and plowing into podiums or getting beat up as a child. The Harbaugh Legend grows daily. And we are simply mesmerized by it all.

Coming up: Mark Snyder investigative piece into the cost of podium replacements and lack of fiscal responsibility. I don't know what's more Harbaugh: the hamstring or telling an apparently rambling story about punching a person where listeners don't know the intended takeaway.

How am i the first to comment on this one?  they are all great, but i can totally visualize the team walking thru there on the marble floors and hearing the "click clack" of his cleats.  priceless.
