OPI/Hands to the face. At worst, offsetting penalties and replay down. Refs will never be competent enough to make that call though, especially with Detroit involved.

That's never going to be a penalty when the defender is already mugging him and impeding his progress. That's just battling back to the ball. I would be shocked if that has ever been in a penalty in any game ever

Dead serious. Wilson looked bad, but turned back to the ball, as the rule states he should, and has a right to do. It's not his fault Wilson under threw the ball. The WR then jumps over his back and hooks his helmet inside his face mask. Great catch, but just as much, if not more wrongdoing on his part.

on somebody having to do with the lions?   i have avoided watching the game and am just now sitting down to read this thread which is a great barometer that i have indeed used my time wisely - not watching.  painful, frustrating, pointless are a few words that come to mind.  want them to win but really, it's the lions.

They had a chance to get a home playoff game and change all this but blew it. This game will never be close.

Lions don't have talent.

This is not SOL so much as a team bereft of talent overachieving and then getting exposed by more talented teams.

Lions have gaping holes all along their defensive depth chart, at WR, and TE. Lions sorely need playmakers on both sides of the ball.

every year I tell myself I'm going to stop rooting for the Lions. I've lived out of state for more than a decade and I still find myself in my masochism. God help me ..

10. Eric Ebron
11. Taylor Lewan (Pro Bowler)
12. OBJ (Pro Bowler)
13. Aaron Donald (Pro Bowler)
14. Kyle Fuller (better than everyone save Slay)
15. Ryan Shazier
16. Zac Martin (Pro Bowler)
17. C.J. Mosely (Pro Bowler)
18. Calvin Prior
19. Ju'wan James
20. Brandin Cooks (Very good slot WR)
21. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (Pro Bowler)
22. Johnny Manziel

I LITERALLY would've taken any of those players up until JFF @ 22 over Ebron... And even gobs of players after him as well. Wish the Ford family would sell.
