Brandon Watson absorbed cheap shot in front of ref, no call
Doesn't surprise me one iota by who it was by.
The slime buckets must pay. Because more and more is coming out showing that the fix was in.
People called me a whiner for calling out the terrible officiating last year across all sports. Ever since Harbaugh was hired, we have been targeted by this conference.
Maybe it's time we fight back and throw our weight around before this happens again.
Harbaugh doesn't put up with the BULLSHIT. And he's targeted because of that. You are ignorant if you deny that there is no pattern of there being terribly one-sided officiating in our games since he has taken over.
The umpire is 10 fucking feet away and watches Mike Weber cheap shot Watson. pic.twitter.com/XNg5nz8eOE

elsewhere, but FWIW there was also an uncalled but clear late hit/roughing the passer well after Speight had released the ball.
November 27th, 2016 at 7:14 PM ^
Can't remember when in the game, but it looked very late on replay.
November 27th, 2016 at 8:04 PM ^
It happened at the 14:14 mark of the 4th Quarter. Speight throws the ball, a second later gets hit by a Buckeye, then a split second after that a second one gets to him and throws him to the ground. Of course that was on a third down play; who knows what would have happened had they called that one.

I betcha it would have been plenty grevious had Barrett been the Quarterback. I can hear the howling now, with yellow flags fluttering to earth.
November 28th, 2016 at 12:29 AM ^
I remember seeing that. The ball had been out of his hands long enough that there really was no excuse for the second hit.

If Harbaugh follows his same formula that he used for Don Brown . . . find the #1 Coordinator in the country and tell him "Get your ass over here", it will work out just fine.
Drevno calls a great game against the Illinios and Marylands of the world, but he becomes extremely one dimensional under pressure.

Impossible to do well as SJSU.
November 27th, 2016 at 7:42 PM ^
Well, mixed emotions. I wouldn't want to lose him as the OL coach unless there's an upgrade, and as a fan I have no way of knowing if his replacement would be. On the other hand, I thought the playcalling the last month was atrocious, and if what was said on the broadcast yesterday is to be believed, that it's him first, then Fisch and Harbaugh have some input and call some plays, good riddance.
Personally, I don't like position coaches calling the plays; in my (albeit limited) playing and coaching career, I've found it better to let position coaches coach their players during the game and have someone else dedicated solely to calling the plays while in communciation and coordination with the position coaches. But given how Harbaugh's delegated the coaching, combined with limitations on numbers of coaches, I'm not sure how feasible my preference is.
So I wouldn't mind losing Drevno the play caller, but I'm not so sure I want to lose Drevno the OL coach.
November 27th, 2016 at 8:31 PM ^
If he leaves I'd probably promote Fisch to OC and hire the best possible OL coach out there; Harbaugh has to know someone who is close to as good as Drevno who he could get.

This one doesn't bother me all that much. There's a play with an after the whistle scrum where an OSU guy slaps/punches Kinnel in the head. Was a dead ball foul before a third and one they converted in the fourth quarter. Would have been third and sixteen.

Just shut the hell up. I don't care about your petty problems with me.
I'm standing up and continuing to call out the bias that has been going on for over a year now that people like you said there was no such thing as. How about now?
WE are Michigan. We do not need this conference, they need us.
Texas sure knows how to use their leverage and throw their weight around. Because the Big 12 would crumble without them. I'm not saying leave the B1G like others are. I'm saying to create some urgency and force reform.
November 27th, 2016 at 7:49 PM ^
And if you or anyone else has a problem with me calling Michigan--the team I have loved since I was in a hospital crib--we/us, then you and the others who share that feeling can take a hike.
It's been pretty clear why I've been trying to stay away this past week. This reminder thread is just to anger and rally the people even more.
Missed calls are one thing. But what has come out on these people and what has happened in the last year+ just strokes the flames.
I am so fuming with anger with the more that comes out, I need to take a break for awhile.

November 27th, 2016 at 8:18 PM ^
1) You're wrong. I never said there wasn't bias.
2) I've contacted the Athletic Department and Big Ten with a written complaint so stop jumping to conclusions about me.
3) Does Texas throwing their weight around get them good calls or something? Do you have any reason to think Texas is the model we should emulate? Or are you just spouting stuff off? I recall a lot of people thinking Texas is annoying and not wanting them in the conference for being a bully.
4) I ask you again since you didn't answer me before and went on a tirade instead: what is it exactly that you're going to do? I've done something. Or are you just going to bitch about your officiating snowflake on the board?
5) Do yourself a favor and try to gain some perspective in life.

People like you are the reason some things never change, or take so long to change. We need people like WD in times like these. Not people like you.

There's also a clip of Gedeon running Weber out of bounds, which Weber didn't like. So he bowls the ball at the refs feet in disgust. The ref smiles and pats Weber on the ass.
