Great for GVSU and happy it's also a Michigan school so we corner the market.

377-137-3 becomes 378.5-138.5, giving you a calculation of 378.5 / 517 = .7321 for their winning percentage.

Was that winning % or total wins in the case of Yale.
I thought Michigan passed them sometime in the last few decades, or possibly during Bo's reign.

FWIW, the graphic in that link is wrong as to ND's numbers. It lists ND's record as 894-316-42, .7308. They forgot the hurricane last Saturday. ND now stands at 894-317-42, .7302.
Also, this is stupid. Need to play big-time football to be listed with the big-time schools.

But it's also pretty damn impressive. Obviously no one thinks that GVSU is a better football program than Michigan and if the two were to play it would be a slaughter. But considering the Lakers have only been playing varsity football since 1971, it's quite notable.
More than anything I think it's being used as recruiting material.

BTW what is Michigan's record since 1971?

I looked at this a dozen years ago, so maybe the intevening years did some damage, but: I looked at Michigan's all-time records against all other teams. We had a winning record against every team we had played a reasonable number of games. (There are schools where Michigan has a losing record, but only where there have only been a few games.) The only school against whom Michigan has a badly losing record is Cornell (6-12).
My suggestion is that we schedule a few years of double-headers against them to set things right.

The UofM degree in me says this is crap.
the Grad student in me (at GVSU) says: we the best!
so, its like awesome either way and just makes me better than the rest of you basic michigan grads!
