Not connecting long...but in fairness, the receiver he was going for had just showed up this morning and was given a jersey number and told to take the field.

Also, he's only scanning half the field.  Maybe by design?  That said, he moved the ball down field in a sustained drive taking care of the ball, and throwing the TD.

I hope App State pulls out this win. Then we won't be the only top ten team to lose to App State at home in the first week.

Gotta say though, I think App State is just a good mid-major (as much as Tennessee is crapping the bed) as they're drawing even with UT on both lines of scrimmages. I bet this is a 10-2 mid major type squad

Ok. That was over analysis and ridiculously stupid. There's a difference between "replay" and in depth analysis of every play with 466 cameras, slow mo etc.

Overturn egregious mistakes, if it's close, go with the call on the field, and let's not stop the damn game for 17 minutes on an 18 yard pass.

No. That's stupid and that isn't the intent, it's a mutated cancer of a side effect. And especially not when it takes 17 minutes.

Instant replay was instituted as a method to overturn egregious mistakes that potentially change the outcome of a game.

It was never the intended to be used to "make sure the right call is made all the time."
