Just read this in an article Cornell Mann Currently an assistant at Iowa State, Mann has coached at Dayton, Western Michigan, been an assistant at Central Michigan, was the head coach at Oak Park High School in Detroit and been an assistant coach with the Detroit AAU team the ‘Michigan Mustangs’. The Cyclones lead defensive coach, Mann was also the main recruiter for PG Monte Morris out of Beecher, Michigan.

Never got why people wanted Jordan to be our next head coach. I don't find this current style of basketball we're playing to be entertaining or that effective. I am not a fan of dribbling around for 20 seconds and then jacking up a 23 footer because there was no offensive movement. I don't want ANY Beilein philosophies to influence our next coach. I want fresh blood.

My problem with Beilein isn't the offense (let's not foget we had the #1 most efficicent offense in the country twice under JB), but rather with the recruiting and defense. The utter ineptitude when it comes to keeping people in front of you, rebounding, blocking shots etc is baffling to me. As far recruiting, there isn't a single NBA player on the roster anymore. Time to start landing some big timers.

he interviwed with  UW Milwaukee AD Amanda Braun friday in Houston at the Final 4

It was between him and TJ Otzberger from iowa state i believe

I didn;t think he would get the job.

AS a UW-Milwaukee alum I am happy about the hire in terms of we got a Michigan guy.

Sad for Michigan though

Bacari is going to Detroit, count on that. I knew about Mccalum getting fired weeks ago, It is pretty mucha done deal with Bacari. Hes a detroit alum also. Only issue could be funding within the Detroit athletic department. If that doesnt become an issue hes the man, they had to wait til april 1 for the mccallum firing to lower the money due to mccalum. all about the $$$$

Best of luck to Lavall. Wasn't expecting this at all, Bacari is most likely on his way out as well so I wouldn't mind seeing Meyer take the same path. This program needs to bring in new fresh energy, we need to bring in some coaches who recruit toughness.

Lots of change coming in waves. Not all of it good. Beilein has a lot of pressure on his back this year. 2 Seniors and a slew or 3rd year guys. All his recruits. If he doesn't get it done this year at a top 25 clip....it's simply time to move on. Recruiting needs to pick up also. Staee....is recruiting circles around us. #RecruitDetroit
