no longer has a sympathetic Ingham County Prosecuter in their corner.  It'll be interesting to see how much this changes the behavior of Hollis, DeAnthony, and Izzo when things can no longer get swept under the rug while the prosecuter is conducting his "business" in hotel rooms.

Let's hope he stays out of trouble.  That said, the first resisting arrest and misdemeanor charges were dropped and these ones were basically put on probation pending a diversion opportunity, so it isn't like he doesn't have a bit of a track record.  I honestly do hope he stays clean going forward, but I also wouldn't be completely shocked if he ran into more trouble at MSU.

We wanted this kid pretty bad at one time, he's raw, but an elite athlete.  Doubt we would have taken a commit from him after the second incident, the first was just horsing around.  Second issue seemed more serious, but he was put in a diversionary program.  Gives Duh'tonio his first top 20 class at #18.

Sanctimony is neither worth the time it to takes to be written nor how long it takes to be read. It sounds like he grabbed the girl's butt. That's obviously not OK, and there's a lesson to be learned but in the wide spectrum of "sexual assault," it's likely the least severe possibility by far. **IF that version of the story is true:** Taking away his scholarship offer would be, at least arguably, disproportionate.

If he really did get arrested for grabbing ass, he really must have grabbed the wrong ass, like the principal's daughter or something. Because no one gets arrested for that. Suspended from school maybe, but arrested and charged? I suspect it's a little more than that.

Touching anyone when it isn't wanted is technically assault. And touching anyone in a sexual way when it isn't wanted is therefore sexual assault. And all sexual assault can be prosecuted. This qualifies. It may seem small, but that's because it is a relatively new tendency in criminal law, which is primarily because society has been really big on the subjugation of women for a really long time.

I say it every year when someone inevitably gets a DUI: this is the worst part of college sports. Kids make mistakes and do bad things, coaches giving up on them isn't necessarilly helpful to the kid. But that never stops fans of team A ripping on coach of team B for being too lenient. Its insufferable. The worst is Mr "One strike your out" Drew Sharp, who has repeatedly said kids shouldn't get second chances. I dont see him quitting journalism after getting busted for plagiarism, of course.

It seems like a lot of kids have screwed up on Marty Domino's watch at State, and some times I've thought he was a tad lenient. But I'm not aware of many repeat offenders.

I was flipping through an old church misselette and found my favorite responsorial psalm:

(It goes like this)

Fuck MSU.  Fuck them all the hell.  I don't give a rats ass what that shithole or its asshole fans do.

Funny that MSU fans are under the dilusion that Dantonio runs a clean program. One of Delton Williams's favorite hobbie is to threaten people around campus with guns. He has never been suspended for a single game in his life. They do whatever it takes to win up there in EL.

Replace msu fans with the local media.

There was an actual article written last December saying the program is built on discipline.

They will be praised for giving this criminal a scholarship.  It will be a redemption story.

Media is always preachy and thumbing their nose at things when Michigan has an issue.  Minick DUi video posted on wesbite, the numerous msu players with Duis - no videos posted.

The comment:  The righteous shall prevail was made while still recruiting a kid with two arrests as a jab against Harbaugh-Swenson thing.

Harbaugh, Please curbstomp this joke of a school.

Don't care if he committed to MSU or Michigan. The kid has got problems and football is not the answer. He should sit in bench and prove himself. We all make mistakes is crap. I bet you not many people in this site make that kind of mistake.

Charges weren't dropped. Wasn't convicted either. Since everyone has such a problem with the situation,, what do you propose? He was arrested. UM made a list of top 25 programs in terms of arrests (a good portion to be blamed on one person). But anyway, they waited to see what happened in court and delayed his signing. Just curious. Fire away.
