EDIT: *Poker pro* Phil Hellmuth headed to Signing of the Stars

Submitted by ypsituckyboy on

Per his Twitter: "Finished 3 days of filming @PokerNightTV at @TVPokerRoom: won $13,700 total. Next stop is Ann Arbor, Mich to support my boy Jim Harbaugh"

Edited to clarify that Hellmuth is a poker pro since, admittedly, he's a pretty random celebrity.

I haven't read what this signing of the stars is all about. I'm assuming that's all these former players and celebrities are going to be hanging out at Schembechler hall? Anyone else know anything different? What are our plans with these people?

Met him while while attending a work meeting in Wisconisn. For a dude who's a arrogant ass on TV. Nice dude. Kind of weird that he will be at this event though. Who's next Screech and Webster?

Although for some reason I associate Nipsey Russell much more with "Match Game", if only Paul Lynde or Rose Marie were around still we could then have a nice, old school game of Hollywood Squares going during NSD. If we go the Match Game route, perhaps if Richard Dawson or Charles Nelson Reilly were still around, we could have done that too.

$25,000 Pyramid, anyone? Nothing is impossible at this point.

It's a great idea. Assuming recruits will call in.

Phil Ivey or Doyle Brunson would be cool too.

This event will raise money fot chadtough.org. Everyone wins.

Is one he earned early in his highly successful and lucrative career. Like JH, he hates to lose and as his poker earnings and tournament finishes attest, he is normally on the winning side of the ledger; six cashes and one 1st place finish at this year's WSOP indicate he's still at the top of his game.
