I hope he communicated with Harbaugh month ago that if he got accepted to Stanford he would flip. /s Good job young man seizing the opportunity of getting into your top choice.

Having visited Stanford, and even taking into consideration my sworn loyalty to Michigan, I will NEVER question a person's decision to go to Stanford. IMO, best university, maybe in the world. Best of luck to the kid. (UM alum, '98)

Yea, so I don't want to hear anymore shit about pulling schollies. If the recruit can do this and leave a team high and dry then a coach can yank a schollie. I don't want to hear the whining about they're just kids. wha, wha, wha. If an 18 year old is adult enough to decide to sign up to die for his country then he can be treated as an adult in the recruiting process. Period.

40 years or so ago Michigan, among many other states, lowered the drinking age from 21 to 18.  Michigan then watched the death toll of 18 to 21 year olds sky rocket with the underlying cause of alcohol.  In 1978 Michigan promptly set about raising the minimum age first to 19 and then to 21.

The drinking age was originally lowered due to the Vietnam draft. Hey, if a guy can be drafted into the army to go die in a jungle on the other side of the world, then he damn well should be allowed to have a beer. After Nam was over we transitioned to an all volunteer military and ended the draft. The feds then threatened to cut off highway funds for any state that didn't raise the drinking age back up again. The feds pulled this same move with seat belt laws and later with lowering the DUI threshold to .08 from .10.

But a person is a full citizen at 18, he can vote, he can die for his country, sit on a jury and damn sure be tried as an adult.  The 26th amendment of the constitution did that.  The Vietnam war killed many more 18-21 year old than the younger drinking age of the time.

Jim Harbaugh is not unprepared..He doesnt freak out like alot of you, There is no way with his relationship with Poggi and the kind of kid Hamilton is that Jim did not know this could happen if Hamilton was accepted into Stanford..Relax and stay alive through Wednesday so you can be happy again.

Interesting how the near-panic concern of not enough LB's from a month or so ago is now laughable; running a little low on OLinemen but there's a few days left til' signing day

and btw even if we sign nobody else the O-line outlook is nowhere near as grim as, say, 2013

and also, Harbaugh

I would guess that Hamilton made it known if he was accepted into Stanford he would be on the fence. They probably knew this and have something in place. Time to pack the patience for a few days
