Filling Out the Class - Weekend Edition

Submitted by alum96 on

Trying to sleuth out the class, more for "how many spots can we take" - max 30.

Thesis

  • We have 22 commits
  • 3 gone so back to 19 - Elliott, Johnson, Weaver
  • 2 added by 8 pm , back to 21- Uche, Mmmbop
  • Silently (?) - Stewart, McDoom
  • Added in my heart - Gary
  • Warm feelings - Allen, Hudson
  • Once academics clear = offer = Sam gut = sad Frankin - Dwumfour

Take you back up to 27.  DiscussMan from there on spots 28-30.  If you get both kids out of Cali (no speculation that is happening) you basically have 1 slot it seems.  If not, then 3 max?

Discussion points

  • Will Dytarious Johnson remain in class - filling a swim lane?
  • WD says Hill gone due to Scout premium, no King player ever again to UM in our life until coaches gone.
  • Onwenu flip chances small
  • Fuller seems OSUish
  • Murphy - very quiet
  • Do we get either of the 2 Cali kids currently on campus?  Both?  If Asiasi do they take both Allen and he (I assume yes)
  • Pie - still out there; always out there
  • Nordin - Baxter or us?
  • Viramontes - final 3 Cal, Utah, UM
  • EJ Price and Isaiah Simmons at this point not visiting UM, unlikely end points.
  • (EDIT) J. Jones - all the ballz to ND of late

Thanks for another great summary Alum96.  Realize I am in minority in thinking Elliot is still realistic for Michigan, especially with CB from Steve for him to Texas, but to my knowledge he has not decommited from Michigan yet.   Even though staying home in state can be a strong pull, Messrs. Harbaugh, Brown, and Mattison can be a strong pull for this talented young man who likely has NFL aspirations.  If he decommitts from Michigan, then I will give up on him too.

I had not seen this mentioned anywhere else so I made an account to post, but I saw Murphy touring on the top floor of Ross earlier today and he seemed pretty impressed. I had not realized he was visiting, but his mullet was very hard to miss. Cannot help but think that if there is a spot Murphy will end up here.

please get viramontes back! great worker, but also helps that California pipeline open up. Crawford, Vic, long. almost as valuable as that east coast, particularly NJ, stronghold.

He has the same first name as our basketball star, his brother goes here, he has it all going for him over here I just don't get it. Why on Earth would he go to that place?

Yea Scout did NOT say Hill is for sure gone. WD is flat out wrong. Now that's not to say he won't end up with MSU but Sam Webb, nor anyone else, did not say he was gone.

on the edge of the internet,  someone posted that rivals keeps hinting that kalis won't get a fifth year.....  how is that even possible... as a starter at a position losing its best player?  unless that its him who wants to move on and play at another school immediately, it just seems bizarre that he wouldnt be offered a fifth year... and ive been quite vocal on the frustration of watching him play, too.

question on TE

If Asiasi commits, does that send Allen to Mizzou?

If no, then do both committing, send McKeon away?

I guess I'm asking if the offers are of the first refusal types.  eg if they told McKeon, ok, you're our 4th TE on our board, and you can come here if the first three do not.
