OT: Friday drinking/what are you up to this weekend thread (drinking optional)

Not optional for me, as I am a Hopslam and an Edmund Fitzgerald invested already.  Snow removal and roof-detail for me tomorrow, as I live in perpetual snowland of 1/4 mile off Lake Michigan.  Narrowly dodged a nasty ice dam situation the last 2 winters, and hellbent on preventing one, 3rd year in a row.  

No M Hockey this weekend, which is a bummer.  So, tomorrow is roof, M Hoops and some dog training. Sunday, the boy and I are floating a West Michigan river armed with spey rods and desire to beat a steelhead or two.  If you've never drifted a snowy river, I highly recommend it.

Tonight, 5 fingers of Elijah Crag 12 y/o and Red Wings by the fire.  No work shit, no Swenson, no worries.

Sixpoint Resin, sitting by the fire waiting for this supposed storm to hit Nueva York. Stocked up on beer at the Beverage Barn and wine at Stew Leonards so we'll be fine.

Just made a margarita. 3 shots patron, 2 shots triple sec, 1 shot like juice. Shaken with a half lemon and half lime. Poured in a glass over my Han Solo carbonate ice cubes.
Life is good.
Have a pic but don't know how to include in threads with my phone.

Got a sixer each of Left Hand Hard Wired Nitro Coffee Porter and Founders Azacca. We're probably getting as much snow as DC but the farmers have already been through a few times with their tractors to plow the road and my neighbor did my driveway with his skid steer. All I gotta do is drink some beers and sweep off the jeeps every few hours. Stay safe out there people, especially if you're getting iced.

It's a very good thing that drinking is optional in this thread, because the course of medications and the diet that I am on for the time being as a result of my hospitalization last month making drinking currently a non-starter. They will likely relent on that in the coming months, all goes well, but for the time being, sparkling non-alcoholic things it is. No, I am not thrilled by this - facing the world sober is a terrible thing.

Losing power tomorrow for 4 hrs so Consumers Energy

can do some work. 

Probably going to get a 2-way car starter installed tomorrow

and run some errands to kill some time during the outtage.

Enjoying some New Glarus Spotted Cow while watching some of the news coverage of the snowstorm.  I know they are supposed to get a lot of snow, but it is humorous hearing newscasters refer to the supposedly awful conditions when you can see in the background there are probably only a couple inches of snow on the ground!

Three straight days of UMS productions. Lincoln Center Jazz on Wednesday at Hill, feminist nude crap at Power Center on Thursday, and just got back from Straight White Men at Mendelssohn. Had to miss ball and hockey so looking forward to some fine sports featuring Irvin, Glasgow, and Brady. L

Didn't have to work today, so I started with a Short's Huma, went out for a Bell's Two Hearted, headed to Founder's for three (four?) Red's Ryes, came home and had a couple fingers of Elijah Craig, and am now enjoying my second Green Flash Palate Wrecker...life is good. Be safe fellow posters, and GO BLUE!!!
