A friend of mine working in independent, investigative journalism describes it as lazylining...putting out clickbait to demonstrate "interest" in what they write, thus justifying their continued employment. No one has commented on this directly, but one of the biggest benefits of the camps was more exposure for Michigan football in areas traditionally conditioned to look elsewhere to commit. The other factor is they got to meet coaches directly, especially Harbaugh, and the guy can flat-out recruit. If I were a high school player his enthusiasm would be infectious, and add that to his track record then you have one hell of a draw. What most articles don't mention is the exposure bump MANY of these kids got that they wouldn't have gotten without the camps coming in...they were evaluated by a lot of coaches that never would have seen them. It's one of the reasons I don't put a ton of stock in "stars" ...there are a LOT of kids that can't afford to get to camps so don't get the exposure. Look at where the kids Michigan offered were trending in recruiting rankings before the camps came and they got more exposure. Spineless hacks like Greenstein can't be bothered with analysis and facts...they need sensationalized headlines and sound-bites to falsely show their "relevance". That is our instant gratification/social media based culture......no critical thinking skills to find out facts first. I may be mistaken, but I think their biggest concern may be flooding and erosion (as in road wash-outs, etc...), considering the amount of rain they've had already, and will continue to get from the hurricane. At least we still get to see the game played....
My wife and I had quartz installed earlier this year, and it's awesome. I'd look beyond the general stuff at big-box stores like Lowes and Home Depot if you want better aesthetics/quality. We have a pattern that looks like natural stone, and everyone we've shown it to has been amazed by how good it looks. The rep we dealt with asked to take photos of our kitchen after it was done to enter into a national contest, so it does look very good and we didn't break the bank to do it. You'll get what you pay for. A lot of quartz is very structured grain-wise, so you have to look to find something that doesn't look like a cheap laminate. As for durability, I'm a former chef and still cook a lot of international cuisines at home, and I've had no problems with it at all. Weigh the pros and cons of your lifestyle/cooking frequency/styles of cooking, as well as your budget/aesthetics, and go from there. Ultimately, you have to go with what you like and can afford.
