The Michigan State Spartans versus the Alabama Crimson Tide.  This will be a fistfight.  Saban against his old team, the much disrespected, huge chip-on-the-shoulder Spartans.

Moved to Hilton Head w/ Michigan degree in 96.  Was hoping to see Sparty v. Clemson to be honest.  Wanted to see something good happen for the folks who still reside in State of Michigan. Obv. would like it better if Michigan was doing the winning, but since we ain't, I'd sure as shit rather see a different team from Michigan win than any team from Alabama or anywhere else. Love thy state and love thy neighbor.  Schadenfreude is for haters.

in the earlier thread about the playoff was 42-6 Bama and that and the MSU line would be exposed.  How many games did this team trail until there was 0:00 on the clock? 3 or 4?  I just never saw it and I'm glad I put my money where my mouth was. Great way to start the new year.

 

Now Michigan needs to take care of business tomorrow.

I'm gonna guess this season won't be a BTN Big Ten Elite episode. This blowout will do wonders to reduce airings of the punt play. It may make ages top 10 lists but it won't be scrutinized as a magical play on their journey to an elite season blah blah. Blah.
