Go Away Jose! Mourinho sacked by Chelsea
Mourinho sacked by Chelsea:

Jose made Chelsea the most hated soccer team in the world. He lost his players ages ago. Him recently saying he was 'betrayed' by them was last straw.

The decline is in significant part due to a total lack of chemistry on the team. Rumor has it that Cesc Fagregas was fed up with Mourinho's petulance, and this festered into a big problem. In the meantime, the talented but twatish Diego Costa was outraged over being benched, and made some public shows of contempt toward Mourinho.
In the meantime, their Russian owner Roman Abramovich is despised on several levels. First, Russian billionaires started buying up English assets (land, businesses, etc.) about 12 years ago or so, and RA is the poster child for that phenomenon. He also "builds" his club almost exclusively with his wallet - I don't hate him as much for that as others, but it's a sort of NY Yankees feel that grates with many soccer fans. Also, many of his players are ill-regarded. John Terry (for alleged racist comments and certain non-bro moves with the ladies) and Costa high on that list.
It's a shame, because Frank Lampard was with Chelsea for years, and was very classy. Also, Didier Drogba was a joy to watch in his prime, so I always kind of liked Chelsea. Lately, they've been less likeable.

Good breakdown.
Jose also firing a physio for taking the field when one of his players was hurt really is when the players turned on him.
Word is she was very close to many players and they saw this as total disrespect and unfair.

I agree, Didier Drogba was fun to watch. Some of the elder statesmen leaving the team recently may have aided in things getting out of hand (Drogba, Cech for example were locker room leaders). At least we can watch Drogba tear it up in the MLS...

I feel the same way. I never had any real dislike Chelsea. I like guys like Lampard and Drogba alot also. Jose was just such a bad sport. The sideline antics and overall douchy way he interracted with other managers just put me off. When he was managing Real Madrid and they beat Man City in a champions league group stage, he ran around the pitch gloating like a complete asshole, I lost all respect for him. I can't deny that he is a great manager, but he is a grade a poor sport.

Hahahahahahahahahaha! I Love this!
The only reason Chelsea is worth a damn is they started the trend of being the billionaire's playtoy club. Then Mourinho's defensive style made them boring as all get out to watch. Interesting to see if they complete the death spiral.

just has a unique appeal. Sacked just flows off the tongue in an almost harmless way.

The best news of the day in this is that juande ramos looks like he will take over. I always said had Spurs not fired him he'd be the manager of the year in the championship. Fingers crossed he can do that for chelsea in 2016/17

He was pretty good the first year in taking over for Martin Jol, The epic collapse the next year had a lot of fathers, not sure if he was exactly a flop as a victim of bad circumstances.

I know this is futbol and not football, but bear in mind the success of the Harbaugh hire and the fast turn around with largely the same personnel puts every major head coaching/manager change in a new light.
There has always been pressure to win and win quickly but Harbaugh's record at Stanford, the 49er's and now with us makes it clear that it is possible with the right people to engineer a quick turnaround.
With the type of money being tossed around in the EPL this will only increase the pressure.
