OT: Kyler Murray leaving Texas A&M, second QB to transfer

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Texas A&M has lost two starting QBs to transfer in the past couple of weeks. This time it's their All-SEC bluechip freshman Kyler Murray.

Texas fans were hoping for him and Zach Gentry last year and came up empty handed.

Some grad transfer is gonna luck out and start from day 1 there. What the hell is going on down there?

A&M has lost 4 QBs to transfer since 2012.

.@TexAgs reports that QB Kyler Murray intends to transfer from Texas A&M. Early favorite to pick him up has to be Texas.

My buddy is lower level college coach and attended a big time coaches banquet.  He sat at a table next to Sumlin and said he was one of the biggest scumbags he's ever met.

If you go by the logic that if you have two quarterbacks you have no quarterbacks, then by losing two starting quarterbacks, they have lost no quarterbacks.

/s (If you only had two quarterbacks Harbaugh would pick up a three pack of them at Costco.)

I'm glad we got Bush, as he is a) looks like a very good player and b) is slotted to a huge position of need, but I'm sure Texas A&M folks were even more excited about this guy.

Last year: "Whoo-hoo! We got the top-rated high school dual QB in the whole country and one of the best players of any type in all fo Texas!"
This year: "Vaya con dios"

Kyler moved around in high school until he found the right place to start and compete for a state title.    Weird atmospherics in that family.   I'm not surprised by this move.

As a UCLA fan, given they open the season against the Aggies, I love this news. As a general interested observer, what in the hell is going on out there?

Super talented baseball player as well. Was considered a potential first rounder in June before he opted not to enter the MLB draft. Have seen some speculation that he could be transferring to a junior college for the sake of playing baseball this spring, then being eligible for the 2016 draft. We should know more very soon

Don't see any chance he comes to Michigan, but people against the idea are ridiculous. This kid has incredible talent, never turn that kind of talent down. Ever.

According to Baseballamerica.com, Murray will transfer to Oklahoma. It's not clear at this time whether he will play both football and baseball or just football.
