Venting: I need this

Submitted by Swayze Howell Sheen on

Dear Mods,

Sometimes venting is needed. This is one of those times. In honor of the previously-created thread called "F***", I hereby create this venting thread.

This thread is needed. It is much better than any "snowflake" thread, and honestly what better word can summarize my feelings at this moment other than "f***".

Thus, we commence:

f*** the refs

f*** dantonio

f*** old man sparty in row 1 at the big house

f*** punting

f*** connor what's his face

f*** brahs walking around like they did something

f*** losing in a way that i'll have to see for the next 10-20 years

f*** this thread

f*** off

f*** otters

f*** kittens

f*** targeting calls

f*** replays that seemingly can't ever be done correctly

f*** having to wait ONE ENTIRE YEAR and then still who knows what will happen

f*** the espn stream which actually hung at that point in the game, forcing me to hear about it from the damn web

f*** long lists like this that nobody wants to read

f*** everyone

f*** the guy who flipped off the camera; bad karma

f*** the fools who paint things like statues

f*** late games that take too long

f*** vines and twitters and youtubes replays of the ending

f*** anyone who gives a hard time to a punter who is probably dying a bit inside right now

f*** commercials

f*** everything

f*** 404 and 505 and other web page errors

f*** me

f*** you

f*** deleting awesome venting threads like this one will likely be

f*** sh** damn

f*** saturdays

f*** trying to watching anything else related to football for the next three weeks or years

f*** bad luck

f*** special teams being the way we die

f*** not tackling some dude at the 1 as time runs out because that would have been damn precious

f*** not staying with me I'm going to turn this thing around

f*** letting this one damn play ruin a great season

f*** the next team we play

f*** getting down on these kids who just played their hearts out

f*** it, we're going to come back from this

f*** it, we're going to start rolling teams for real

f*** it, we're going into the Ohio game without losing another

f*** it, we're going to WIN THE DAMN GAME

f*** it, I love football

f*** it, does anyone have it better than us, even after that piece of s*** ending?

f*** it, would you really want to have any other coach or any other team

f*** it, don't be depressed - enjoy your family, and friends, and don't ruin this night because of one damn play

f*** is just a word, a feeling, a state of mind; stick with this team, and remember that it's just a game played for entertainment purposes.

One more thing, if you've read this far. There is a red pill: forget this game ever happened, or that you were a fan who could have your heart torn out. There is a blue pill: where you remember, and suffer, but (with time) overcome.

I choose blue everytime, motherf***er.

GO BLUE.

ass had to record the game then watch it in chunks and give the kids a bath during the last few minutes. I assumed we won when I saw under a minute and I looked forward to watching the ending, checked my phone and saw we lost and went just in my head. Fuck. luckily I kept it in my head and luckily I didn't watch the game live.

Since we're venting, I need to join.

I was at the game. I endured 4 quarters of ups and downs. We overcame a lot of horseshit penalties and made a 4 down stop to win the game.

Then we lost on the flukiest of fluke plays. Whatever. It is what it is. But Sparty chanting go green, go white on the way out of the stadium? Like they dominated us or something? I mean, ayfkm? And not just a couple. Like, a lot of them.

I have lots of Spartan friends. I love them dearly. But for real...Spartan fans are the biggest douche bags on planet earth. The end.

My God, that was the most bush league officiating crew ever in a big league game. Who is that video review guy - he was totally pathetic and a dumb shit. He missed every fucking call and it was on TV with ESPN saying "what the heck was that" ...

You Only Live Twice

were a JOKE in this game in that no one in the stands could believe what they were seeing - even a couple of the Spartys in our section.  Spartys were so expecting to lose this game, some of them were leaving early.  A few minutes ago I got a text from a Sparty friend (we all have them, I guess there's too many of them around the state of Michigan for us NOT to know some)... and he told me he turned off the game and fell asleep, expecting to lose.  He's actually a nice guy and roots for the Spartans without that weird obsessive stalking thing that many Spartans have where they follow every Michigan game as if they are playing in it against us.

So the sheer unfairness of losing a game with these weird Ref-aided Sparty gains, that we actually were AHEAD in all the way through, is what hurts the most - because MSU emphatically did not earn this win.  We gave it to them, even flawed I think we are a better program now and I think we win all the rest and I think next year we become national champions or close.

This fucking tool is a waste of our time. Iowa's unwanted trash.

Any of the younger qb's can be carried along by the rest of the team,  just like he is! And learn from it, as they are our future.

I agree with everything in your post (with all of its vulgarity) but for your point that this is solely for entertainment purposes.  That is evidently false.  Michigan could play like a bad movie until the end of time but I (and I know many of you) will choose to support this team and this university until the end of time.

As much as we celebrate individuality in our country, we humans have forever belonged to groups.  Political and religious groups serve this purpose for some.  Whether we graduated from this university, worked at this university, or pledge allegiance to this university for other reasons, this is a group to which we belong.  We are "for" Michigan.

You may still fairly ask the question, if what is the case should be the case.  I can answer only personally.  Michigan changed my life in ways that I am forever grateful.  It opened up doors, and it helped teach me to take responsibility.  (I was put on probation while I was there, and I deserved to be.)  You can argue, "but another institution could have opened the same and taught the same."  But they did not.  Michigan did.  I am "for" Michigan.

So, this is MY vent (and my disagreement with solely that portion of your post).  I support this institution that has been so good to me - in (small) donations each year but also by supporting this team.  It is not just entertainment to me.  It is about giving back so that doors can be opened for others and responsibility taught to others and to say "thank you" for what it gave me.

Does a book consist solely of words, or does it contain something more?

Fuck the refs for so many bad calls
Fuck that football for not genetly landing in Blake's hands
Fuck MSU. They didn't deserve to win that game
Fuck Connor Cook. He's good at football and that pisses me off
Fuck downfield passing. I wish we could do it, but since we can't I'll say fuck it
Fuck football. Since I started watching Michigan in 2006, I feel like I've had far more moments like this than I have of joy.
