the bloody drinking thread

Submitted by UM Fan from Sydney on

G'day, mates. Yes, we really do say that at times, in case you were wondering. This is some damn good beer, as is most pumpkin ale. I love this time of year.

Well it's 5:30am Sydney time, or 3:30pm here - I think you have the signs of a drinking problem, unless you are on vacation, then it's always 5:00pm somewhere!

I have fresh roasted beans just picked up from Cafe Stella in Norfolk. Ground some this morning, fresh brewed pot of steaming sumatra coffee. Nothing like a good cup of joe for me, on a beautiful, crisp sunny Fall afternoon.

Wife is laid up after back surgery so I will be watching football/baseball and drinking beers all weekend as she passes in and out of sleep. Fat Heads Trail Head tonight.

I've got a sixer of Yuengling Octoberfest waiting for me when I get home. First time trying it so we will see how it stacks up against Sam Adams Octoberfest.

Looking for Thomas Handy Sazerac. If you can find it I will buy it and enjoy the hell out of it. Currently. having Almaza a pilsner from Lebanon. Did just pick up some Don Julio Anejo. It is very good. I have not had it in a while. Anybody tried Ron White's Number Juan tequila?

I just stopped off on the way home and picked up a bottle of Cabernet. Red Diamond (which sells for only 10.99 for those looking for a fairly cheep but delicious Cabernet).

together, I think about a bloody mary. With Worchestershire sauce, fresh horseradish, celery, spicy green beans, dash of tobasco, black pepper and some actual tomato juice. And a buttload of vodka. Crispy piece of bacon or some decent sausage on the side optional.

Going to make a couple of those for breakfast tomorrow.

Drinking Canada Dry right now, but will be putting some beer in my belly shortly. Not sure what yet. Pumpkin flavored anything is bad. IMO, pumpkins are meant for decoration or food for deer.
