What are you going to do?
If you can't play it anywhere near Maryland due to the weather, then play it in Ann Arbor, charge $10-$20 for the tickets and give Maryland a huge chunk of the cash.

215 miles from Ann Arbor
500 miles from College Park

???
Map much?
September 30th, 2015 at 4:42 PM ^
Good. We can treat it as a walk through for our game at Lucas Oil Stadium in December.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:18 PM ^
Play the game.

Maryland allowing them to move the game to AA is the football equivalent of putting on 50 pounds after you get married because you just don't care anymore. That's the kind of shit you do when you're just content to go through the motions and not, you know, win the game.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:27 PM ^
The chances of having the game switched to Ann Arbor seems highly unlikely.
Seems a neutral site would make more sense...if that can be arranged just 3 days in advance.
Didn't Miami change locations because of a hurricane a couple years ago?

Indiana basically sold a home game in 2010 and played Penn State in the Washington Redskins home stadium. PSU fans outnumbered IU folks something like 10-1 and the Hoosiers just cashed a big check.

It didn't look to me like they were trying to win. I mean, they hired Randy Edsall. That's not a program that is interested in success.

Can someone please set up an MGoSurvey so we can once and for all determine the majority opinion of where this blog would like the game played? Time is of the essence so we have time to channel this information to the logistics crews of both teams. Thank you!

Surely not Harbaugh and definitely not Minick.

until noon, November 5. No reason it can't be played after the OSU game. Gives all fans plenty of time to rearrange their schedules.

title game. Try again.

Putting aside that this is the day of the Big Ten Championship Game, in which we will be representing our half of the conference after beating OSU, the OSU game is and should always be the last game of the regular season.

Don't know WTF I was thinking. Excuse me while I extricate my head from my ass. (Boy it sure is dark in here!)

Only a state over.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:49 PM ^
It's a state up, in the same hurricane path.
Maybe Pittsburgh.

This begs the question, what the hell is the NFL going to do? DC, Baltimore, Philly, and NY are all in the potential path on Sunday.
I'm too lazy to look it up, but there has to be at least 2 or 3 games scheduled to be played in some of those stadiums.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:40 PM ^
Jets play at the Dolphins
Eagles play at the Redskins
Giants play at the Bills
Ravens don't play.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:45 PM ^
Redskins have the same problem as the Terps, even worse.
Fuck it, just have the Redskins play the Terps next Thursday and everybody else just go home and get on with their lives.

The Jets game is in London, just out of the storm path.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:44 PM ^
The NFL has dealt with this before. They also are pretty lucky this time. Baltimore is at Pittsburgh tomorrow, the Giants are at Buffalo and the Jets are playing Miami in London. That just leaves one game--Philadelphia at Washington--and both teams have a November 1 bye; they can just move it to the bye week.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:41 PM ^
in terms of tickets?
September 30th, 2015 at 4:47 PM ^
I don't know, but you can bet that they will still count the "official" attendance as 110,000.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:52 PM ^
deeply discounted tickets (say $10 each) and a crap ton given to local high school football programs.

It won't be easy but moving it to A2 then moving our home game there next season makes the most sense from a fairness standpoint. We'd get an extra home game this year and an extra road game next year, and vice versa for Maryland. It's not perfect but we have to deal with this somehow and I don't know that there's a better solution. The league Revenue that would be generated from a free/highly discounted game on short notice a the Big House would probably still dwarf what the game would have brought in at Maryland.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:53 PM ^
Play at Maryland next year ? No way !

September 30th, 2015 at 4:47 PM ^
It's probably going to be fine. There's no reason to panic, the hurricane itself won't be impacting the area until late Sunday, until then it's just heavy rain from Thurs-Sat.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:50 PM ^
^ guy who has never dealt with a hurricane
Do you realize that people will be spending all weekend EVACUATING the city? Do you realize that there will be no emergency personnel to deal with the 54,000 strong football crowd that would be in attendance? Come on, man.
September 30th, 2015 at 4:53 PM ^
a hurricane hitting Washington DC, a city that literally shuts the F down when they get 2 inches of snow.
September 30th, 2015 at 5:21 PM ^
the Hurricane itself.
I'll leave it at that.
