BYU is a dirty team

Some of you are probably fully aware of BYU's recent history, but others may not be. After watching several BYU games over the last year I have noticed that they are one of the dirtier teams in college football. There have been three instances that I think should be highlighted: 1. The brawl against Memphis in their bowl game. 2. Several personal fouls and late hits in the Nebraska game. 3. The below the belt shot in the Boise State game. I'd be embarrassed to be a fan of their team at this point. They are either totally undisciplined, encouraged to play like this, or both. Glad we didn't hire Mendenhall. Regardless, as fans we should be vigilant of this crap and make sure the refs don't let them get away with some cheap shots in the Big House. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2015/9/13/9319205/byu-football…

I was at the Husker game. My views on BYU is that they are chippy and quite physical. The late hit after the pass was questionable, but the defensive back did have an excuse as the ball was overthrown, but still on target, thus making the ball look like it could be completed. Yes there should have been a flag, but it wasn't 100% aim for the legs type cheap shot, whereas the Boise game was a complete cheap shot. Michigan needs to come out and physically dominate the game within the legalities of the game, and the refs need to be on top of extra-curricular activities behind and after the play.

That gif of the late hit on the Nebraska player, wow.  That's just dirty, cheap, nasty scumbag behavior.  Going for the knee after the pass sails over you? wow.  I guess we know what to expect from BYU.   Hope our players make it out of the game safe.

Mendenhall was never a candidate. We had an excellent plan B and C. As for BYU playing dirty this is nothing new. When they played ND that got a little ugly too.

I'm not shocked. A bunch of 26 year old men who can't drink alcohol, caffeine, have sex, or do most things adults fund fun and/or stress relieving.

I'd probably run around punching balls and taking cheap shots at people too

Did you not already see the discussion. Surrounding this? You know, like how dude put him in arm bar earlier in the game, and other such things like how it was one guy, not multiple guys over a 3 game span or more. You know, the things that make that comparison an absolutely terrible and asinine one?

I mean you'd have a really strong argument had that been the ONLY incident involving Lewan...But since it's as Ann as the nose on plain's face that it wasn't (and that it did involve multiple players/people from multiple games - hell, ask around about the opinion from his own teammates)...Perhaps you should keep the asinine nonsense to yourself.

I'll take the logic down a number of notches to a level you'll understand it.

One guy vs multiple guys, 3 straight games + being known for being a dirty team in general.

The above word problem is even more easily worded with the following

BYU >>> UM in terms of dirty play, for decades. In addition, it's a blog. You don't like my "asinine" opinion, feel free to move on because (again, try to use logic) this is where people come to announce their opinions.
