but Suh can't be replaced. I like Austin but I recall another poster debating me that the defense would be better without Suh (addition by subtraction logic). Said Austin was too much a genius, etc. You don't replace Suh - period. Stafford may be hurt a bit but it's his 7th year in the NFL, he's surrounded by insane playmakers and he's still just a really strong arm. This guy is the best Lion QB since....Lane (?) if you count by career/talent but he's not a guy that will take you to a title. He was the same way in college. He's a better option than many but not a guy that'll put the team on his arm, due to his head, oddly enough.

This Lions team is Shit.  Same old Lions:  Individual pieces, poor coaching, no leadership.  Statsford is so overrated its ridiculous. 

If/When they lose this game...it will be tough to rebound and make the playoffs.  Teams that start 0-2 miss the playoffs 85% of the time.

Yeah...it's definitely been a rough first half. The pass defense is getting picked apart, and the offense is struggling to sustain drives. 

Last week, SF owned Minnesota because they completely controlled the line of scrimmage and could dictate the tempo of the game. Unfortunately, given the current deficit, SF is going to have to pass all second half, which is not ideal. Could be a loooooong afternoon for Niners' fans.

Awesome job, Niners. Great drive down the field; four cracks at the endzone within the 3-yard line; two stalled runs straight up the middle; a throw away pass; and, a drop in the endzone on fourth down. Guh.

The defense is much worse than what it was a year ago. The playcalling is also bad.

Caldwell completely screwed up this offense. He never should have hired Lombardi and changed what the Lions were running.  Stafford is a down the field passer. He isn't Brees and never will be.

Meanwhile, Mayhew's insistence on going with aged defensive players and his poor drafting has killed the Lions. He needs to go before anyone else. Just a bad GM.
