Final Four: Kentucky/Wisconsin [open thread] + Saturday Night Drinking Thread

We have to listen to the Kentucky radio network too? Basketball is dead to me.

I hate these final four games. They look terrible on any tv smaller than a garage door. I have a 52" tv and I can barely make out who's who.

Also Adidas uniforms are turrible.

Alright Wisco. We need you to be the first team in NCAA history to go 70% from 3 in back to back games. 

Fun game.  Like the 1st half of our NC game.

You could put 3 kindergardners in a room and they would create a better design than Adidas. Incredible.

Umm.....I know this is late to the thread, but the Wisconsin Adidas uniforms are hideous.

So how does Indianapolis get the Final Four twice in five years?  Can Detroit ever get it again?

Kentucky's coaching is terrible. All they do is try to get the ball in the post, and if that action is denied, they have one player at a time try to freestyle their way into a bucket occassionally with the help of a screen. They rely on individual talent rather than team play.

F you Calipari, you hack.  You're only as good as the NBA one-and-done's that you can "convince" to come and hang out at Kentucky for a year.  They leave only as good as they come in, never better.  

 

This game is hard for me to pick a side. Wisky winning is good for the Big10. However, I was born in Lexington and my mother is a UK alum. She even dated a backup center on the infamous Rupp team that played Texas Western. My uncle is an alum and most of my mothers side was born in Ky. With that being said my dad went to UM and married my mother and got the hell out of Ky as fast as possible so On Wisconsin!

UW came to play that is for sure.  I'm lovin it so far.

I like the way Wisconsin is holding their own early against Kentucky. I think that’s a real good sign for things to come. Kentucky has dominated some teams early to the point you can tell it’s not going to be much of a game.

I really want to dislike Wisconsin, but I can't, and I respect them as a program.  I can't say the same for Kentucky.  Maybe I'm reading too much into this but I see this as the fight for the soul of college basketball.  Good vs. Evil.  Go Badgers!

On a big stage like this, should be interesting to see how Kentucky with their youngins respond to playing from behind.

Is Dekker better this year than Stauskas was his sophmore year? They seem very similar... 

This is going to be one heck of a game. Wisconsin came to play, that's for sure.

Wisconsin is doing a good job of staying out of foul trouble.  When they get beat, they are letting it go.  They are not chasing and getting dumb, useless reaction fouls.

This Wisconsin team is legitimately fun to watch - a total departure from those hideously boring teams that won 52-50.  Their skill level is awesome.  

If Towns fouls out, it's over.  WCS is not enough to carry KY.

Who is doing the color? Guy is rooting for Kentucky.
