The B1G tournament is nothing more than a cash-grab for TV.  If anyone thinks for a second that the officials, paid by the B1G, are not aware that  #5 ranked Wisconsin and not a one game over 500 scrappy Michigan squad, makes for MUCH better ratings they're quite naive.

The B1G needs Wisky to advance here so they will advance here.

I hate that I agree with you, because I want to believe that true competition still exists anymore, but this is spot on.

Wisconsin is the B1G's only chance to bring exposure to the conference"brand" this March, so they need to advance and get a high tourney seed, simple as that.

I'm staying positive because we played pretty well, but the odds are against us

believe 3 of those calls. The out of bounds reversal, the tackle of Max and the charge. Yet Doyle catches a guy with soft hip check and it's a foul. Michigan just can't handle the Wisconsin frontcourt. Their strength is our weakness.

I really had that hedge foul call more than any other way.  Doyle was running back to the baseline and got called.  Yet Wisco undercuts on every jumper, pushes us out of the way and can take 4 1/2 steps and not get one call.

Michigan can never finish a half strong. They play good til about 5 minutes left in the half. Then they start missing and other teams start making shots

This officiating is abysmal. One foul for a team that's as physical as Wisconsin? That's unheard of.

I don't mind Wisconsin going to the line because they do take the ball to the hole, but how does a team known for physical defense get a single foul?  The same thing used to happen at IU when Knight was there--Ryan just inherited the mantle.

because the Badgers were having so much success getting inside.

I don't know what Michigan has to do to get a foul call. I mean letting them play has been taken to another level.

It seems like every guy on the crew is calling the game the same. I was shocked Michigan got the bump outside the arc with the shot clock near zero for Wisconsin's first called foul.

I mean when an official changes an out of bounds call, which he got right and let the crowd and Badger bench influence him, you know your team is in trouble.

Beilein needs tp badger for calls or he won't get them. This is a crew that's going to allow physical play and you don't get calls unless you go to the hoop.

One sided but the offense stagnated horribly the last 6 minutes of the half. One thing I have noticed repeatedly this year is Michigan will play pretty good defense for most of a possession and then inexplicably ease off the ball as if pretending to help off the ball? This invariably results in easing the pressure on the ball and giving the offense enough space to create something. The last 10 seconds of the shot clock you have to really sell out to keeping pressure on the ball.

Ready for the season to be done. Don't even care about the NIT. One half of basketball left.

When Wisconsin was shooting cold, they changed up and started working the paint. That's what well rounded teams do when jumpers aren't falling. We have bad offensive droughts because when jumpers don't fall, we have nothing else to go to. We must get some low post paint players to really take that next step.

both his 2 threes were directly at the top of the key.  I swear 90% of his have been there.  I'd love to see us push him off that spot and make him shoot away from his comfort zone.

Michigan is not blocking anyone's shots and they continue to jump and put themselves in no position to box out and get rebounds on misses. These guys need to stay under control and box out to get boards instead they jump in every shot and fail to position themselves for boards!!

Exploiting mismatches... Recruiting big strong guys...those guys have an advantage in the paint (where higher % shots are taken) then smaller quicker perimeter oriented players...hmmm

It's like all the sudden Ryan is a genius...it's common sense, nothing to do with coaching. Give the bigger guys the ball in the paint, sit back and watch, WIN.

Maybe this season of giving up 30+ points in the paint multiple times will help Beilein realize that it sure helps to have one or two of those guys.

Sigh
