Rumor that Jake Rudock, Iowa QB, is transferring to Michigan.
This information today is brought to you by Scout.com. He's a fifth year so he wouldn't have to sit out and would bring even more competition to the position. If Harbaugh hired Gruden as OC the team would be half Quarterbacks. My opinion on the matter is that seeing as how this is the most important position on a football team, thus making or breaking a team in a lot of aspects, I hope this is true.

have been reported and discussed in several threads on the MGoBoard over the last 2 weeks. Until an actual "Hello!" post is made, is there really anything new here to discuss?

Let's A) make sure the news on Ruddock has NEW news B) properly title these threads to say that there is new news.
This is not new news. This is a continuation of the murmurs about it happening.

As said above, this has been discussed in several different ways over the last week or so. Until we see something more definitive, it is just a lot of hearsay. I went to the two links you provided: they show Rudock, but nothing about this pending transfer.

Using the search function I see that it was discussed 4 days ago. I missed it.

We don't play Iowa for another 20 years, so Rudock wouldn't have to face Iowa.

When given the opportunity to play in the B1G title game, Ferentz punted

Unfortunately for Iowa fans, we'll still be facing Ferentz.

Iowa is in the other division, so how would it help Michigan get into the B1G championship?

Our friends over at BHGP did some analysis of the rumor earlier in the week - LINK
Their initial thought on it was this -
Whether the rumor is true or not (and we should find out one way or the other very soon), it's an appealing rumor because it does make a great deal of sense on the surface. Getting benched in the Gator Bowl and then getting bumped down to the back-up status on the bizarre spring depth chart that Ferentz released last month seemed to be pretty clear shots across the bow from Ferentz and an indication that he's moving on from Rudock as the starting quarterback at Iowa and putting his eggs in the C.J. Beathard basket.
I am sure they are on it. The story seems to emphasize that - for the time being - there's not much in the way of substantive information out there regarding this, and although this was posted a few days ago, that still seems to be the case.

That'd be what 8 quarterbacks?
He seems like an alright QB and has proven he can throw TD's to Michigan, three picks against us last time we played. Heard he wants to go to our Medical program for grad school.

I wonder what this says about Harbaugh's confidence in the QBs he has right now.

and a transfer who has to sit out the season.
Our current depth chart has 2 true freshmen, a RS freshman and a junior with very limited and unsuccessful experience. If you were to name one position on the team that could use another player with experience, it's undoubtably QB.
Double post.
That junior just may surprise everyone this spring and fall. You try playing behind that craptastic O-line, take a cheap shot to the chin where your teammates didn't lay that fucker out, have an unaware coach continue to play you, throw you to the wolves in a bowl game, and see if your experience is unsuccessfull as well.
Let's see how this plays out more than just a couple of practices... To say Morris is Bellomy is just not right with what we know. If Morris goes though this spring and summer and fall and hasn't improved then you're absolutely right!
But the Hoke regime did not coach players up. Gardner was the #5 ranked QB in the land and got worse rather than progressing. Morris is a 4* with all the gifts but has been in tough spots. I don't think those things are coincidences where the past coaching staff is concerned.
