Now if we can just get Chauncey, Rip and the Wallaces back, we'll be set.

The pistons won the championship over ten years ago... wow, that was a long time ago I guess.

reason why we could not acquire Chucky Adkins and Corliss as well.

Might as well grab Mike James and Lindsey Hunter.

I wonder if Allan Houston will make a comeback.

Make sure we grab them through the time machine. I'm not sure we'll be happy with the 2015 incarnations of the guys you listed.

He's still in the league? What is he 40 now?
February 19th, 2015 at 3:49 PM ^
Actually, Prince is only 34, but he was here for what seemed like ages all the same. We drafted him in 2002, I believe - lower first round, as I recall.
Either way, it sort of seems like he just left too. Two seasons in Memphis and not even one in Boston and here he is again.

Um, yay for expiring contract?

This is the only Prince I care about in basketball

no more sexybits

Never forget.

He came out of nowhere.

His arms are just so long.

It has to suck to be a Pacers fan. Indiana was also capable of routing the Lakers in the Finals that year. Both Eastern teams were playing at a high level at that stage of the Playoffs.

I flew off my couch, and high-fived my dad repeatedly after that happened. Unreal.

in concert at the Palace in 2004. He took off his shirt to reveal a Prince jersey.
The crowd was pleased.

Looks like he'll retire as a Piston. Good for him.
February 19th, 2015 at 3:53 PM ^
he was only 34. His production was pretty consistent with the Pistons, but Memphis didn't play him nearly as much. I bet he has at least a few more really good years left in him, especially now that the Pistons have the right coach.
February 19th, 2015 at 4:23 PM ^
know about "really good," but he probably has a couple of serviceable seasons left. He provides the Pistons with a couple of things they did not have. He is a stretch 3 who can do more than just shoot, he can defend, he can post, and he can score without really being a volume shooter.
I don't think it is a bad move, but Reggie Jackson is not going to resign, Augustine was playing at a pretty high level, and I am not sure how much of a difference acquiring Prince makes. Long story short, the Pistons made a couple of moves, but I really don't see these as meaningful moves, from either a business or a competitive perspective.
February 19th, 2015 at 6:40 PM ^
I understand that he wants to test the market, but he's a RFA. A lot of scenarios are possible, but I doubt the Pistons make that move without being interested in signing him.

Sounds like we sent Datome and Jerebko to Boston.

Thank god they got rid of Singler. His shining moment was getting crushed my Matt Howard's screen at the end of the 2010 National Championship.

Always liked him, never a superstar but just a good solid player at both ends of the court, and solid citizen off the court as well

I'm more happy about the pt guard, but hey, welcome back home Tayshaun!
