Your Unpopular Movie Opinions
Since this is today's theme, I've always had a very unpopular view of a certain movie, and would love to hear other's opinions based off of movies and/or actors. Mine: I think Wedding Crashers is a terrible movie, and not funny.

I'll go the complete opposite direction. I thought the Godfather Part III was pretty good. Not as good as the first two, but definitely worth watching.

G3 was nominated for Best Picture. Everyone seems to forget that.

you are simply not a fan of movies

Toy Story 4 shouldn't be made. Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending.
I have a say on this issue. The original Toy Story and the second were the movies of my childhood.

Andy, is that you?

This is a correct opinion, popularity be damned.

Bad idea. The ending to Toy Story 3 was about as perfect as possible. That may be the only time I've openly wept at a cartoon in my life.

I'm quite fond of the Coen brothers, but The Big Lebowski felt pretty aimless/not relatable to me.

I'm gonna get smacked in the teeth for this, but ...
Fargo. I watched it twice, and I'm still damned if I can see what the big deal was about. Meh.

Keanu Reeves is the greatest actor of his generation and Citizen Kane suuuuuucks

Citizen Kane suuuuuucks
Agree 100%.
So many of the "great" movies are just awful -- Citizen Kate, On the Waterfront, From Here to Eternity, Giant. They are labeled great by people who remember an era and look fondly on it through their rear view mirror.
February 13th, 2015 at 5:23 PM ^
Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront? The very definition of smoldering good looks. Besides, "I coulda been a contendah!"
Citizen Kane, however, is dreck.
February 13th, 2015 at 5:51 PM ^
Definitely agree about Citizen Kane and several others from that time. Casablanca still delivers the goods though.

From a technical standpoint, Citizen Kane is great. From an actual story standpoint, I'm not a fan. But I'm not really a fan of Orsen Wells, so there you go.
But come on, On the Water Front is a pretty damn good movie. Gotta disagree there.

I never got past "Rocky I."
Because "Rocky" sucks.
February 13th, 2015 at 5:53 PM ^
The one you've got to watch is Rocky III, with Mr. T. The others get all the accolades but that one is the most fun.

February 13th, 2015 at 4:44 PM ^
Not worst ever, but it damn sure wasn't good.
February 13th, 2015 at 5:04 PM ^
Topic is unpopular movie opinions. I believe THAT opinion is shared by MOST people who saw that film. Waste of time.
Similarly, Christopher Nolan's 3d Batman movie, with Bain and the whole capture-NY thing, was probably the stoopidest movie ever. Or close to it. But that's not my unpopular opinion, I think that's probably a pretty common opinion.

you can jump FURTHER while rock climbing when you don't have safety equipment on. Didn't you know that? Oh and crazy old wise-men in foreign prisons can completely fix your irreparably broken back in just a few months even though you are sleeping on rocks or the ground every night.
