His visit was on Friday according to 247.

Arnette, a SCAR commit for now, is a 6-2/185 3 star CB.

Holds offers from Florida (Durkin) and Ohio State. 247 says his recruiter at Michigan is Durkin.

He fired Brandon, he got so many points for that, that he "rolled" the points odometer on his Mgo account! The Mgopoint odometer goes to infinity, so he's got infinity + his current points. Think on that for awhile

Weird, I thought I had read he decommitted from SC but apparently not.  Here is an article from 2 days ago on his views of SC.  Obviously the words don't mean much in recruiting until Feb 4th.

“I’ll be sure after my visits. Right now, I’m solid, but I’ll be 100 percent after my visits or I’ll know if I’m not 100 percent after my visits,” Arnette said. “Their opportunity sounds just as good as South Carolina. I just have a better relationship with the South Carolina coaches.

“If the better opportunity presents itself, then I’m going to have to go with the better hand.”

Sometimes in recruiting, a school that already has a commitment from a player eases up on its communication with him while other schools trying to convince him to flip put on a full-court press.

That’s not the case in Arnette’s recruitment. He says the Gamecocks are still the team recruiting him the hardest, and he speaks with defensive backs coach Grady Brown every day while talking to Spurrier once a week – much more communication than he has with coaches from Michigan or Ohio State.

This kid reminds me of a faster Ernest Shazor. He would be an awesome safety, he has great instincts and loves too tackle, and he could compete right awat with his size and speed already.

If there is only room for one, we have some conflict.   The nation's #1 CB, Iman Marshall, from Long Beach Cal Poly is coming in for a visit tonight.  Seems like his scheduled visit puts some pressure on Arnette to commit or risk having his offer pulled if Marshall commits?
