Pequeno: Harbaugh will tell 49ers he's leaving on Sunday

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

Another pequeno tweet.

Source says, Harbaugh will tell SF team after Sunday's game and be introduced Tuesday. Once again, nothing signed, but UM confident.

I will see if I can get photos of the MGoServers as they sit right now, because I have a feeling that they might very will be dividing by zero - either for good news or otherwise - in a few short days now. If it is good news, the location of the servers will also be the location of the celebratory BBQ because that's all the equipment will be good for at that point.

You know, I saw Bacon vouched for this guy, so I take it for what it's worth, but seeing the comments about his tweet, I wonder how people can be so blindly biased towards the NFL and Oakland.  Apparently the NFL name has an insane amount of goodwill behind it (unjustifiably so if you ask me).  I don't want to say those people are ignorant, but I guess it is a form of nationalism towards the NFL.  My league right or wrong and no sane person would ever leave I guess.

I have noticed that most of the NFL Talking heads are just doing and saying what they are paid to do working for the NFL, they are secretly hoping that Harbaugh signs with Michigan & even though will have to pretend to be shocked and do alot of backtracking they will secretly be celebrating with all of the U of M Fans.

It is unfortunate that they can't acknowledge this in public. I mean the NFL is big, College is bigger~obviously my own personal opinion.

after he resigns from the 49ers and his agent is out there pounding the streets! I was hoping for a deal with the 49ers where Harbaugh would just head to Michigan. I can just see Harbaough agent calling a bunch of NFL teams and put these possible offers on JH desk. It will be a bad sign if JH is not in Ann Arbor on Tuesday.

SF would retain his NFL rights since he still has a year left on his contract. Any NFL team would have to work a deal with SF to sign him. I don't think at this point JH would allow this train to travel this far down the track if he was going to "stiff" UM. Brian has been pretty conservative in his searchbits posts until today, he apparently knows something from some pretty good sources that made him post "It's Happening." I have been of the opinion that he would not end up coming for weeks now, I am beginning to believe something good is finally about to happen for the UM fans, alumni, players, students and entire Wolverine Nation.

I read a rumor/source something that Harbaugh is going to announce at Press Conference on Monday 29th and same rumor/source at halftime during the basketball game on Tuesday.

The rumors are getting the better of me and it has been a long month I almost missed Christmas with all of the Harbaugh rumors and being on Harbaugh watch for most of December. Somehow in the craziness managed to complete my shopping, but I think this was done in a Harbaugh Haze~I just don't recall doing much of it.

I will be popping the cork on the Champagne when the Press Conference does happen, I think both to celebrate Harbaugh and the end of the craziness for the last month. MOSTLY HARBAUGH!

To Harbaugh coming home!

Once the job is done and Hackett has gotten his man.  Hackett immediately becomes the permanent AD.  He would be endowed with the Bo Schembechler Chair of Football Knowledge.  David "Sauron" Brandon will have his name removed from all records and any evidence of his residence in the Athletic Department will be destroyed and buried in the pits of Mordor.

does anybody believe that shortly after the coach is hired (Harbaugh) that we might know who the AD is as well. Something tells me a dual search has been going on with regard to the AD

Yeah, I think if he wanted a stressful authority position, he would have kept the helm at Steelcase. I'd expect he's doing his duty to the alma mater in his time of need and will then happily hand off the ship to a permanant captain while he enjoys his retirement (and the adoration of the fan base when he swings by the presidents box for games).

Clean house, get the donors together and make a home run hire and pave the way for a smooth transition to the next guy. There's a lot more involved in being an AD. As well as Hackett is doing what he was brought in for, Michigan should want someone with a lot of experience working in the field to be the permanent AD.

My dad and I have always conversed about Michigan football, and we're both pissed that these NFL hacks have made it seem like outside forces have had to push Harbaugh into the Michigan job.  Is it that much of a stretch to think Jimmy has always had high interest in the job?  Personally, I think you can get to higher places as a coach at the right college program than you can in the NFL anywhere.  Where else is Jimmy going to get his statue unless he wins multiple Super Bowls?

Never count your chickens before they hatch. If nothing has honestly been signed, I seriously question the elation everyone seems to share. Unless Harbaugh has signed something, I remain very very cautious. With Brian saying it is happening on his front page, more and more people believe it is happening.... However, if a last minute meltdown causes this to go sideways, this blog is in for an extreme shit storm of biblical proportions.

This is certainly an interesting time.. E
Let's say he does come home. There will be people upset if he doesn't destroy the podium while cursing Ohio state while being introduced, the site will explode either way, and expectations will be thru the roof immediately. Never been through anything like this in all my days of following football.

Everyone's saying this is going to happen or that is going to happen next week is full of crap. The only way this is true is if a contact has already been signed. Until I hear for certain he has signed a contact I will temper my expectations. Sign the damn thing JIMMY!
