Friday Posbang

Submitted by Everyone Murders on

I hope everyone that celebrates the holiday (in whatever way) had a joyous Christmas.  As I sidled into work to get a few things done, I was amazed there was no Friday posbang thread.

So here we go.  And to our friends in Canada and England, Happy Boxing Day (whatever that is - I just know that according to Elvis Costello every day is Boxing Day).

My one wish this morning is that we also jumped on the Boxing Day train so I didn't have to eat eight hours of vacation to stay home today. Other than that, it's the normal craziness here - the kids are slowly getting bored of certain toys, deciding which ones will make the semifinals of Christmas, etc...and we're still sitting around with one load of dishes in the sink that no one wants to really do after yesterday.

My son woke up way early this morning and is quite wound up, although a switch to VH1's "Totally 80s" and a playing of "Going Back To Cali" followed up with some Blue Oyster Cult and he seems a little more calm. Not sure how that works, but it seems to work. Little do the kids know that they will be spending the night at their grandparents because their grandparents seem to like doing this on occasion.

Hopefully, everyone had an excellent holiday!

I originally posbanged the use of the word "sidled," then I went back in and edited when I (mistakenly) thought I'd put the reply in the wrong place.  I guess what I got for Christmas was a case of the idiots.

dictionary.com has second meaning for "sidled" -- "to edge along furtively."  I like how that perfectly describes going to work the day after Christmas.

Looking forward to when "It's Happening" turns to "It Happened"!

Of course my fingers are still crossed.  I will not be the one to jinx us!

I forgot it was even Friday. I think I need a good harsh POSBANG to be reminded which day of the week it is. Go ahead fellow bloggers, SPREAD YOUR SEED
