Team Meeting Today....What Could Happen?

My first thread...so don't be too harsh on me. ;) I didn't see anything referencing the team meeting today. If so, the mods can go ahead and delete this. A couple of questions from me:

  • Any idea when this meeting is supposed to take place?
  • Rumors have been floating that it is possible that Hackett could tell team who's their next coach. You think that it is likely or unlikely? (i.e. wait until next Tuesday before the the BB game to announce to the team)
  • This kind of goes with the question above, any chance that the coach himself could talk to the team via teleconference? 

 

Just seeing what everyone's thoughts are on this and anything else relating to the team meeting today.

I think it's going to be something equivalent to coach speak. Something like we're in the process of evaluating interest of coaching candidates and hope to know the outcome before the end of the year.

I'd bet this will basically be a 'listen only' call where Hackett gives a regularly scheduled update to the team. He will take a few questions, someone will inevitably ask about Harbaugh, and he will give them a boilerplate answer like "As I said, Jim is one of the candidates being considered at this time. I can't comment any more on that right now".

Stuff leaks and we hear the exact same stuff we already knew

Brian is over on the edge of the internet confirming this.  3pm all hell should break lose is the consesus.  Players supposedly will be told the coach is secured but no name.  They will read between the lines and twitter will asplode.

and talking about what they been doin, you know, there has been a lot going on lately that I can't get into exactly but the guys have been working their tails off to make this happen and that's what makes Michigan special.

that bad weather expected late Wednesday is my fault. I'll be driving up 23 from Columbus to Grand Blanc, so bad weather HAS to present itself. It's one of those rules of nature.

Rumor has it that after much hard work, backchannelling, and negotiaion, Hacket can finally tell the team that Jim Harbaugh has agreed to be the one to announce that Greg Schianno will be the next head coach of Michigan Football.

I am going to start randomly #ing ridiculous things about the CC on twitter to see if I get the WTF's on here.

That way I will be creating more things for myself to read.

Would this be considered addition by addition?  Or would I still be subtracting something from the situation?
