All of this is available at the top of the page, but if you want to check out some "history of MGoBlog" type links here's MGoFAQ, Official Ethics of MGoBlog, MGoBoard FAQ and the User Created MGoHallOfFame.
Also this is meta, not off topic.

I just noticed under the "Photoshop" section, the "McKayla Maroney Is Not Impressed" photoshop thread is missing. Sure it was cheesy but gave me a chuckle.

The HoF is a wiki, so anyone with "trusted user" status (>500 points) can edit it.

Just checked out the User Created MGoHallOfFame.
I took a stroll through a couple different threads, but this one caught my attention; something didn't seem right. http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/tom-kowalski-wins-pro-football-writers-award-my-tribute-killer
This is the RDT Exposed thread.
If I'm reading that right, is WolverineInaBag now MGoCooper???
Can someone take a look at that and tell me if I'm wrong?
October 21st, 2014 at 4:24 PM ^
Looks like you're right, he's MGoCooper now -- not that he posts much of anything these days. I only looked back because that thread fascinated me. I'll never understand what would possess someone to go to such lengths.

was seeing how many users were on at any given time, and how quickly it would blow up with breaking news. Still wish the current site showed the number of active users.

We were young, naive, and innocent, and thought the college football world was going to be at our feet in short order after a few months of EEEE Barwis. After all, if RR can do what he did at WVU with 2-stars, just think what he'll do at Michigan with 4- and 5-stars... Ah, good times.

To this day I still can't watch that thing without getting the dry heaves.
We thought we were going to be Oregon East. Instead we became Oregon State East.

I am thinking that this deserves some sort of catered affair with an open bar as well, along with speeches from regulars both past and present plus a presentation of completely made up awards by the staff to various MGoDenizens.

Yes. Please. And livestream so all of us can be a part.

Time and place?
And, is this going to be a BYOB party, cash at the door or a pass-the-hat affair?
Also, I have kids so I can't be out too late.
And can I bring guests?
Oh, and will there be food? If so, please make it nut-free because food allergies.
If there's a cookout, please have MMMGoBluBBQ do it. Please.
And if it's winter, let's not do it indoors.
Except if it's in the South, then I'm okay.
Unless it's raining, so maybe we need to do it indoors anyway.
And is this BYOB?

1. Feb 30, 2015. UM Golf Course, 19th tee, of course.
2. We'll have a sitter.
3. One guest per username.
4. We'll have meatballz. Or you'll get nothing and like it.
5. No problem. He has lots of complimentary grillz
6. Drink enough, and you won't know the difference.
7. NO. This is the B1G. We're tougher than that.
8. No promises.
9. No, we'll get a keg or two. That should be enough, don't you think?
October 21st, 2014 at 1:31 PM ^
Now, when you say a keg or two, I assume you are talking about per person. As I'll only drink a pony keg by myself, 1 or 2 kegs per person might be a bit overkill.
October 21st, 2014 at 2:34 PM ^
I would put up the first keg (half-barrel).

If someone brings plenty of beer, I'd be in for at least some of the barbeque. I don't often speak for him, but Ron Lippitt would also likely be a volunteer.
It would be for naught, though, if MMMGoBluBBQ didn't make an appearance.

Basically 2000 years ago there was a guy named Thadeus Cook who inscribed the word mgoblog onto a rock. He wore a # 98 Devin Gardner toga every day.

You need to find the post some guy created about his dogs' anal glands. That is still the pinnacle (or maybe the nadir, not sure) of blogging.
October 21st, 2014 at 1:46 PM ^
Sure, that's HERE.
October 21st, 2014 at 1:48 PM ^
Did you spend 46 minutes looking for that post?? :-)
October 21st, 2014 at 1:55 PM ^
Nawhh. 46 seconds - using the Site Search bar and searching "anal glands".
I do love the fact that relieving a dog's anal gland pressure is called "expressing the anal gland" which could apply equally to some of the nastier comments I've seen on the board lately.
October 21st, 2014 at 2:48 PM ^
in this case is used the same as a mother "expressing" milk to give the baby later.
For the first time I'm glad I was (mostly) bottle fed.
October 21st, 2014 at 2:59 PM ^
I don't have glandular problems.

True life: because of that post, "Seven Swans" was my pump-up song for proposing to my now-wife. Yes, I recognize that is weird.

At the bottom of the main page, just scroll down and click "Last". I satisfied my curiosity doing so. Also checked out the reactions from some "milestone" events from before I knew about this site, such as Ohio State 2006, App State, the coaching changes, et al. Good stuff!

I used to post on a message board run by Brian's brother, and one day he sent me a PM saying "hey, my brother just started this Michigan blog this week, you should read it." So I did. And I'm still here.
That was a lifetime ago.
