Dave Brandon sends snarky email back to alum

Ed-Ace: Did some digging on this and while I haven't been able to get my hands on the original email, I can confirm that if real it is from December of 2013 or earlier, not last weekend. Doesn't change the content of the email, of course, but it does change the context.

Just some background here, my friend comes from a family of Michigan alums. Her aunt who is an alum had enough of this garbage so she decided to speak up.

She sent a very respectful email to Dave Brandon that was well-written on their families' opinion of the job he is doing and she said that they no longer were season ticket holders.

This is by no means a fake. This is his actual email which I have confirmed on here before, as has another poster when he posted a story about DB snapping back at him. 

She thought I should pass this along and I found this very interesting given the interview coming out today. 

I guess we found out those more important things that Dave had to do...

I would like to see the entire email chain, since in theory the person who sent this screenshot to the OP could just forward the whole email over.  

I know people here want to crucify Brandon and I'm sure he's sent some dumb emails, but I have my doubts without more context and especially how easy it is to fake one of these without about 30 seconds of effort (as shown by BlockM above).

This email seems too timely to be anything other than thriving off of confirmation bias. I know never say never, but this seems a little too far fetched and in-line with what everyone expects to be legitimate.

Hoke and Brandon may not be doing great at their jobs, but these are Michigan Men and deserve some modicum of respect from the fan base.  You people insult them like they're worse than Kim Jong Un.

Hoke and Brandon are our brothers.  They've done a lousy job and should go, but they should be treated as you'd treat a brother.  You inform them of their errors, and you make your voice heard, but you don't ridicule and ostracise them.  Save that for Sparty and Ohio.

We're better than this.

I would like DB gone but there is not enough evidence here as of yet to indicate this is legitimate. If someone is making this up attacking Brandon with made up e-mails just makes him a sympathetic figure. It supports his whole personal attack narrative.

Take the post down and investigate. Talk to the OP, get the original e-mail, talk to the person who sent the original e-mail. If it seems legit at that point repost and indicate that you took reasonable steps to verify.

Was directed at Brain and Ace who tweeted about it. Brain has a fairly high profile at this point as a supporter of the Brandon should go camp. If it turns out this email is BS (there is not enough evidence to know either way at this point) then appearing to spread false attacks in DB is not helpful.

It his site so he can do what he wants. I'm just offering an opinion. It should be checked out first.

Brandon had to eat crow for the program relating to stretch gate. Dont forget that. I was proud how he fought back.
If you want to take issue with that and above the name plates, or the stupid legends patch, or prostituting the tradition, then fine. BUT NOT FOR THIS FABRICATION.

But seriously though, did you fake it? It would be best (if you did fake it, or know it was fake) to admit it now otherwise this place is gonna tear you apart. My suspicion is that it is a fake, and you were merely gullable. We'll see.

This is not something I made or she made up. I trust my friend. 

She sent it to me via a direct message on Twitter. 

If people think I'm gonna give her information on here to God knows who, I'm not going to. 

If the FOIA request turns up nothing, then it's on me. I'm not gonna blame her. She isn't on here. I put my neck on the line by posting this. 

Where there's smoke, there's fire. DB's snarky responses in the past lead me to believe this is true along with the fact that I know this girl. I trust her that it's legit.

The FOIA shows that this is in fact a real response from Dave Brandon to a death threat by WolvDev's friend's aunt.  WolvDev's friend's aunt gets arrested and it is all WolvDev's fault.

I have no reason to doubt this email. I have a friend of mine who wrote to Brandon two times within the last two years. He got hand written letters in response. Brandon told him if he didn't like the state of the program he could root for another team.The 2nd letter involved my friends opinion that Frank Beckman was ran out for political reasons. Brandon again wrote back a hand written letter stating he was sorry he hurt his feelings. I made mention on the shuttle following the Utah game and a man overheard me. SAME thing happened to him. Brandon wrote back and told him there were other options out there to root for....

I made a call to my friend to see if he kept the letters....hopefully he did. He said he was so pissed he thought he threw them away. I woulda framed em but that's me! haha

I must say that having read through the posts on this thread I was quite entertained.  While I cannot comment on WD's "source", I can say that I know for a fact that the email in question from DB is legitimate.  I would add that the "aunt" story was what I was most amused about.
