Last year the panic was when J Peppers visited PSU. Everyone was melting down over that.

No, the meltdown happened when he said he would visit other schools. Then DB came out and gave his Gettysburg Address and the stars aligned and Domino's Pizza declared their best quarter ever and everyone forgot we had O-line issues.
The kid has probably been told that his twitter background selection is major gossip among grown men on a message board right now. This is just ridiculous. I would feel somewhat freaked out if I had a large group of grown men looking at m twitter page when I was in high school. This stuff just gets weirder and weirder.
While it's frustrating to lose any highly ranked recruits to go to our rivals, nevermind one that was once committed to UM, we have bigger fish to fry. I'm still hoping for development from supposedly highly ranked recruits from the 2012 class who are now upperclassman, nevermind guys that haven't even signed a LOI. In case you're wondering who I'm talking about guys like Bolden, Kalis, RJS, Richardson, and Pipkins come to mind.
Just sigh.

Carlos Hyde was scary last year. Urban sounded like he was pretty concerned about his OL when he was being interviewed.
So not a surprise if he ends up at Ohio.

That you had the 30-for-30 Borges Offense that Harris signed onto, now we have Nuss, Formerly of 2 NC and somehow its less of a draw...
Total agreement on the unfamiliarity wiith the person, but Nuss is a focused younger guy who has gone places and will continue to go places if you asked me.
I learn more and more that logic applies less and less to some things....Maybe the Bag Men have taken their toll. He's on the border between N and S...
While I think he's a recruit "you always find a scholarship for" even if it seems like the position is already filled for the year, I don't think at this point its wise to put him solidly in Michigan's future plans either, and we should be shopping for other backs.

We have a glut of fans who think a recruit killed their dog when they don't immediately commit or give Michigan media blowjobs.
Damien Harris doesn't owe any of us shit, and if you get emotional over recruiting to the point where you start cursing teenagers, then you're a creepy sad fuck who needs to do other things with their time.
I'd say that the crowd here at mgoblog is a lot tamer than the weirdos that tweet recruits. Most of us don't do the creepy things you mention so let's change "so many of you suck" to "a few of you suck".

I don't follow any players on twitter. Frankly, I'm almost at the point where I wish we had old-fashioned recruiting, where alums and fans knew next to nothing about recruiting and we just said, "We're gonna have a heck of a team in September."
