MSU vs. OSU / College Basketball Afternoon Thread
Currently 11-11 with 15:30 to go...
I'm rooting for OSU to LOSE (see what I did there?). If the Buckeyes lose then the majority of the teams I don't want to see end up on the opposite side of the bracket. Including both MSU and OSU. Iowa is the only team on our side and they'd have to win 2 games before seeing Michigan.

Gah, still torn.
I like OSU getting stuck with the 5th seed, but I don't want MSU to be on any sort of roll.
Hate wins, and leaves me without an answer here.
This is where I'm basically at. With the added need to have MSU lose so we don't have to hear about how incredible of a coach Izzo is for somehow, someway, dealing with the worst seriesof injuries since the surgeons working in the amputation tent at Gettysburg.
^This.
You do not want MSU to get on a roll. You will never hear the end of it from the talking heads.
With how poorly OSU defends the pick and roll, I'd love for them to win this game and give us another shot at them.
Right? And the way to beat us to just keep scoring. They... cannot.
It could also be Illinois.
LOLCRAFT
I hate both teams.
Me too! 2014 deserves one more ass-kicking of OSU in basketball.
Kinda wondering if Izzo remembers that Ohio State's guards can't shoot at some point here.
open threes.
Iowa doesn't scare me anymore because they are in freefall. We can tear through their defense like tissue paper.
Would like Wisconsin, OSU, and MSU on the other side of the bracket.
Russell Byrd is in. Expect an offensive run by whoever he's guarding.
After they hit 17 against Purdue.
Do you think he'll need proof he asked for the Webster?
Wow. Craft is just...he's just so terrible at anything that's not hand-checking a ball handler.
And even his value at that has been diminished greatly by, you know, the refs actually calling fouls on him when he fouls people.
Same here. Frankly, Iowa scares me more. Indiana scares me more than OSU at this point.
1-5 their last 6. They are a hot mess.
Michigan state seems to be unbeatable when healthy. Well, Illinois beat them, but mostly unbeatable. That's what I'm getting from these announcers.
They are living in a dream world, and all the BTN people and other announcers seem to agree on their awesomeness. Ver frustrating. One even had the audacity to say there would be a different Big Champion if they were healthy. I was hot.
really struggles to score. They just do not have anyone even remotely resembling a "go-to" guy. Seem like a candiate for early out in both tourneys.
... the lower Staee go, in esteem and NCAA seeding, the better. OSU are already down, and we should punk them in the B1G.
MSU really has a thing for throwing it out of bounds (or directly to opposing teams). They seem to throw about five of those awful passes a game.
Russell Byrd has an appropriate number.
I don't see where any sort of OSU run in this game will come from unless MSU just goes completely cold and/or refs deal out some major homecooking. Still, stranger things have happened in the B1G this year.
They're in the bonus already. They should capitalize at the line.
Just saw him almost explode his face all over somebody during a time out after they went up by a bunch. I won't be surprised if that guy ends up face down somewhere soon; chill pills in order.
today, and rooting against msu in their rematch in the bt tournament. Wisc will beat the winner anyways, and I want Wisconsin again
It's definitely unforgivable not to keep floor balance against OSU - without transition buckets, this team cannot score.
CBS so desperate for WSU to make it deep into the tourney. It's kinda sad.
I hate that argument though. It's the same argument people used for Boise State and TCU but then both of them went out and won BCS bowls.
Wichita State made the Final Four last year, and their players have only improved this year. Van Vleet, Early, and Baker all improved by a mile.
