I don't wear a watch anymore, but back when I DID wear a watch, it cost a little less than that. Caris threw a party and a dude stole his watch. STORY.

I personally would never spend that kind of money on a watch. However, if he’s making millions of dollars and being smart with the vast majority of it, then I’m totally on board with spending money on something he really likes and enjoys. If he’s making that kind of money and is being smart with most of it, $93k is a relatively small chunk of his personal financial world. Now if he’s not being smart and just buying lots of frivolous, high dollar items with no financial plan, then you are right…..he would be mismanaging his money….badly.

It depends how frequently he's making these types of purchases. If he's got a whole drawerful of these watches, yeah, he should cut back. But if he only occasionally treats himself to a luxury item, it's not that big a deal for a guy projected to earn over $15 million in the NBA this upcoming season.

I dunno man there’s a whole economy on buying expensive watches (Rolex, AP, LS, PP) and holding them for a year then reselling at a 15-20% profit

A watch that costs 93k is more of an investment than a timepiece. I would have kept it in a safe deposit box and worn a more modest watch. The best person to take care of the old you is the young you. Think long-term.

Plot twist - Caris didn't invite Spike to the party because Kate Upton was there and Caris didn't want Spike to be reminded of his failed heat check.
Anyways - the stolen watch sucks but Caris will be OK all things considered. An impromptu Google search revealed that his cousin is Eddie Levert from legendary soul group The O'Jays, so hopefully that will help Caris in dealing with certain.... backstabbers.

Love all the comments from people thinking he was stupid to buy a $93k watch that got stolen but would probably have sympathy if it was a $93k car that was stolen, even if he only drove the car 2-3x per year. People are free to spend their money how they want.
