So where does Michigan end up in the bracket?
Whether UNC or MSU is the 1 seed in the Midwest, I think the other one gets the 2 seed there. Tennessee gets the 2 seed in the South, probably with Virginia. The question is whether Michigan goes to the East in Duke's regional or West into Gonzaga's.
There's also a chance that Virginia stays as the #1 seed, which they have earned based on their resume. 3 losses, twice to Duke and once to Florida State, who is probably a 3 seed. Virginia is also, I think, #1 in every one of the committee's metrics. I wouldn't mind going to the East to face Virginia.
If we are paired with Gonzaga, the 3 seed should be Florida State. If we go elsewhere, it should be LSU, since they can't go to a region with Tennessee or Kentucky.
I answered my own question. Should've done that myself.
MSU's three biggest non-con wins appear to be Texas, UCLA and Florida.
I wonder if this means that they put someone ahead of us and we dropped to the 3 line. Houston was ranked 4th in NET, and if they stay pretty close to that, Houston might get a 2 seed even with the loss today.
Knowing our luck, we’ll be paired with Duke. And if we manage to get to the Elite Eight we’ll be just another edition of the weekly Zion Williamson highlight reel.
Doesn’t really matter. This team isn’t getting past the second round.
Assuming MSU is the lowest 2 seed, looks like a 3 seed for Michigan.
Well at least we won't have both Moo and Dook in the final four.
So does this mean MSU was the lowest ranked 2? or #8 overall based on 1-8 2-7 3-6 4-6 seeding?
So Michigan is a 3 somewhere im guessing now, hopefully in Virginia bracket now
That's not usually how it works.
Michigan won’t make it out of the first weekend so it doesn’t really matter.
Bookmarked. Nice confidence and basketball acumen.
Is that look a blog threat?? I’m sure he’s real worried now...
Save the doom and gloom for football that deserves it.
Cheer Beileins boys on
Both basketball and football are more bark than bite this year. 0-3 in championship games.
Seems likely but not real. This team is all fluff and zero winners and grit.
LOL, MSU with Duke, no final 4 for Izzo again.
MN over MSU.
Looking forward to a Wisconsin-Virginia shootout. First to 40 wins.
Actually, I bet Oregon beats them.
Have to remember Mark Hollis is no longer head of the selection committee so MSU isn’t getting preferential treatment.
man they are smushing in the big 10 teams together
Why are all the B1G teams in the same halves of brackets? This is crazy and unnecessary.
No love for the Big Ten.
Michigan going to be a 3 seed?
Maybe. If we were a 2 seed I thought they would put us in Duke's bracket.
If we stay a 2, I like our seeding.
Just how many B1G teams did they take? I think I see 5 so far, and we're halfway through.
Seth Davis thinks Oregon beats Wisconsin...good luck with that
Wisconsin not that good
Is Houston going to be a 2 seed? I'm so confused with MSU being the last #2.
They shouldn't.
Who knows. This group melts as a team in crunch time. 4 seed seems right. Iggy needs 2 years more
Michigan about to get hit HARD something like NCarolina Kentucky, Kansas, Auburn ,Texas Tech type bracket i can feel the hurt coming
Well, so far they've dodged NC, Kentucky, Kansas and Auburn so far. We will have to deal with Gonzaga if it gets to that point.
3 big ten teams in a half a bracket? What is going on?
As I stated the earlier the ACC talking heads were calling the shots 3 No. 1 seeds unreal!
The committee appears to pay no attention at all to what happened in March.
We are in the west
It looks like the first 8 seeds, in order, are:
1. Duke
2. Virginia
3. UNC
4. Gonzaga
5. Tennessee
6. MSU
7. Kentucky
8. Michigan
Tennessee is higher than Kentucky, which is why they got sent to the South. MSU is closer to DC than KC, so they went to the East as the closest available region. Kentucky to the Midwest as the next closest available, then Michigan.
Looking like they want the UNC/Michigan rematch.
Nope
Looks like a 2 seed opposite Gonzaga at this point. I'll take that
Looks like we're a 2 in the West with Gonzaga, just like we wanted.
Heh.
Suck it, Sparty.
Or a 3 seed? MSU got the lowest 2 seed in Duke’s region
That's what my daughter said.
Still, I'd take even a 3 in the West.
Sweet. I'm going if we make it to the regional.
Gonzaga and Texas tech. Best draw we could hope for
WOW did we get in ?
Michigan gonna have a decent bracket that last bracket was the hardest by far
Please don't say that last part. :D
Man we got gifted the West bracket and Gonzaga as our 1 seed. Unreal.
Who's left for 3 seed? Texas Tech prob 4. Is FSU anywhere yet?
