WTKA Roundtable 1/24/2019: Craig Ross Gets Called Out By Terry Mills Comment Count

Seth January 25th, 2019 at 6:41 AM

Things discussed:

  • Operation Paper Clip, fake NBA spies, most useless jobs in sports
  • Charles: attack that guy!
  • I want to see the flopping section of practice. Why aren't referees fouling Brad Davison out in three minutes?
  • Maybe get that turnaround jumper going for Matthews again?
  • Is Teske the best center to either side of the Fabs?
  • The new assistants: Campanile is well-liked but it's Don Brown's D.
  • Terry Mills calls in to defend himself vs Teske.

This might be one of my favorite round tables of all time. We get some of Craig’s soviet history, Ira accuses Craig of decency bias, Craig abandons his Teske opinion entirely once Mills calls in. It’s gold, Jerry, gold!

How do we evaluate traditional PF? Hubbard, Vought, Tomjanovich and Webber played most of their minutes at the 4 I believe. But for most of them, they didn't operate on the offense end too much outside of 15 feet. If they played today, they'd probably be looked at as C. I think Teske is very good. But he's behind Tarpley, Mills, Vought, Hubbard, Webber, Howard, Tomjanovich and McCormick when it comes to post players. Could pass a few of those over the next year, but at this point in time he would barely be cracking the top 10 IMO.

Great that T Mills called in and better that he was totally logical.

And yes, agree Tarpley was a monster. He could have been an all timer in the nba if drugs didn't take him down.

Craig, also wish you'd have named Bill Buntin, in his time, the best.

Rooting for Teske to continue his path to greatness.
