Have to let the other team sub when you sub, and they can take as long as they reasonable want. Which is pretty much why faking for it on 4th down and then subbing is stupid.
Fun fact for everyone who thinks Pit Fitzgerald is a good coach, in the Dileo powerslide game NW could've just subbed their defense on the last second fg and we would have to wait for them to do so, letting time run out and having us lose. But Pat kept everyone on the field, letting us go hurry up and hit the fg and then go on to win in OT. People really seem to not understand the sub rules

He's definitely not the player he was even 2 or 3 years ago, but in this type of offense (power running, PAP, short passing game) I think he can be very productive for a few more years.
