But I don't think they can compete with Bama or Clemson, especially when all the skill guys on display today are coming back next year.
To be fair, you could say that about every other football team in the country, not just Michigan.

Thank you, I needed a good laugh.

Good, don't let the facts get in the way. And, please, don't pull a hamstring running to get on that bandwagon when they host OSU with a trip to the Big Ten Title game and CFP on the line.
January 8th, 2019 at 10:02 AM ^
Yeah ok I'm sure you'll be here if we go 8-4 which is entirely likely
January 8th, 2019 at 4:33 AM ^
Being in CFP contention and National Championship contention are 2 completely different things. See Notre Dame. Michigan May be close to one, but definitely not the other.
January 8th, 2019 at 8:42 AM ^
If it takes beating Ohio State and winning the Big Ten to make the CFP, then sign me up anyway.

It’s a trap!

Vegas builds palaces and comps rooms because the are right far more often then they are wrong.
January 8th, 2019 at 6:33 AM ^
This is laughable!
January 8th, 2019 at 8:04 AM ^
How?? I mean I ain't all Chicken Little like some folks here but problems are problems, and our lines are depleted. OT is still years away from being elite, our starting DEs are gone, and our DTs are average. You can't win championships on interior O-line play alone.
January 8th, 2019 at 8:08 AM ^
Odds it’s clemson vs Alabama again.....99.999999%
January 8th, 2019 at 8:18 AM ^
I wonder what they been smoking>
January 8th, 2019 at 8:40 AM ^
This just shows what we already know: fanbases are notorious homers.
Traditional powers with big fanbases are even worse.
January 8th, 2019 at 9:03 AM ^
Yeah this isn't a bet on Michigan; it's a bet on that sweet, sweet alumni money.
January 8th, 2019 at 8:55 AM ^
Heck yeah they are out have to get that huge alumni and fan base to dump their wallets another year on Michigan.
January 8th, 2019 at 9:02 AM ^
How can we be 12/1 and ND 25/1 when they bring back their QB as well? I mean, I can see how ND would be even with us, but less than half as likely? Do not understand and sniff some bullshit here.
January 8th, 2019 at 9:14 AM ^
I'm guessing oddsmakers are bearish on the Irish because they have road games against Georgia, Michigan, and Stanford?
January 8th, 2019 at 9:18 AM ^
Bookies make these odds not football people. Michigan should be like 25-1 but if they set the odds to reality then UM's fan base would overwhelm the book.
January 8th, 2019 at 9:18 AM ^
Not happening. This team has holes everywhere and a coaching staff that plays not to lose.
January 8th, 2019 at 9:27 AM ^
They must not have watched the OSU and Florida gsme. Michigan has a long way to go. Not even close.
January 8th, 2019 at 9:33 AM ^
How are we 5th? I could think of at least 10 teams I’d put ahead of Michigan.
January 8th, 2019 at 10:25 AM ^
UM will never win a title unless the offense becomes modernized. We can't even win a god damn conference title anymore. Next year, it will have been fifteen years since the last conference title. That is absurd.
January 8th, 2019 at 12:53 PM ^
We probably have better odd of winning the NC than we do the B1G.
January 8th, 2019 at 6:17 PM ^
Those odds mean nothing saw the same type thing after last season that meant nothing. If we don’t make changes on offense and learn the zone concept on defense we’ll endure a OSU loss or beat down followed by the same in a bowl game for a 4th year! Means nothing a suckers wager
