Offensively they're playing rusty, but defensively they are playing a terrific game.

Nice win but very disappointed with the second half defense ! Looked like tired legs closing out . Teske has zero legs tonight . 7-1 with another 2 rebound game . Time to regroup and get them legs back

It is and I think they'll be up for it. It's hard when it's Christmas break and you're playing one game a week and there's no set schedule for the day. Classes start back up, 2 games a week gets rolling and the rust falls off. You'll see that October/November team again. And when they take that Beilein leap, watch out...

Having kids on a schedule is so beneficial for them. Getting up and going to class during the day is good for them. I’m sure they sat around a lot during break with not much to do. They need to be more consistent to win anything meaningful this year however.

FWIW, I was at the game sitting behind the bench and he warmed up at what seeemed like full go and was dressed. Hopefully more of a precautionary thing.

I saw the same thing on the BTN post-game show. Michigan is not elite, he said. But we won by 13 in a game we were favored by 11 and we held PSU to 55. One minute later, this announcer had nothing but praise for Indiana.
Okay, I guess that all makes sense.

13 point win against a Ken Pom top 50 team that never felt as if the outcome was in doubt after like the 10 minute mark of the first half. Seems fine. There are things to work on, but when are there not.
