A comeback for the ages starts now.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:14 PM ^
ALIVE!
December 28th, 2018 at 2:15 PM ^
Now if they can get a stop maybe this will be a ballgame.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:18 PM ^
No sign of that being remotely possible lol
December 28th, 2018 at 2:16 PM ^
Purdue looks sick. Although it looks as if the officials are giving Auburn the benefit of the doubt. Couple of pass plays there where Auburn defender undressed the receiver.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:42 PM ^
A couple of 3rd downs where they could have given a 1st down but spotted a full yard or 2 behind the marker as well.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:18 PM ^
Good god. This is stupid. 28-7. The safety beaten by 10 yards.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:19 PM ^
Purdue is bad bad.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:19 PM ^
Credit Auburn for chucking it deep. It's a bowl. Why the hell not?
December 28th, 2018 at 2:21 PM ^
Auburn's offense has struggled a lot this year. New OC. Malzahn on hot seat as offensive coach. I think they have every incentive to light it up.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:20 PM ^
Whole lotta Purdon’t’s here. Ouch on the 74 yard TD.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:20 PM ^
Two Purdue defenders bite hard on jet-sweep action. The Auburn WR could have eaten a sandwich before walking into the EZ.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:33 PM ^
Was going to ask on this. Was it a called coverage or a biff on the PU safeties (Pun somewhat intended.)?
Seemed like a very easy deep ball to complete with the receiver being able to adjust deep and across once he beats his man.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:25 PM ^
Checked the box to see if it was worth going downstairs and finding it on television. It seems Auburn is averaging 66 yards per third-down play. But Purdue's strategy of ensuring Auburn doesn't have that many third downs to try and convert isn't working, either. So, no, back to work.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:28 PM ^
Almost an hour for the first quarter? Cmon refs.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:29 PM ^
I think Brohm may want to reconsider that whole "staying at Purdue" thing.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:57 PM ^
.....GK may also want to reconsider???
December 28th, 2018 at 3:03 PM ^
It is not outside of the realm of possibility.
This is one of the more embarrassing bowl performances I have ever seen.
December 28th, 2018 at 5:06 PM ^
no kidding. That was uh gross.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:31 PM ^
Purdue should let Shooter from “Hoosiers” take over the defense
December 28th, 2018 at 2:33 PM ^
Auburn is playing like their coach’s job depends on it which it does.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:35 PM ^
Why is Pep Hamilton still employed?
December 28th, 2018 at 2:37 PM ^
Why do you focus so much on Pep Hamilton?
December 28th, 2018 at 2:36 PM ^
This game isn’t going to help the Big Ten being slow narrative.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:58 PM ^
No, this will help the narrative, alot!
December 28th, 2018 at 2:37 PM ^
17 minutes. 35 points for Auburn. On track for 120.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:39 PM ^
124, to be specific.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:47 PM ^
Nearly at a 144 pace now.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:57 PM ^
I kind of chuckled at first, but holy shit, Auburn may actually score 100 points in this game. That would be awesome.
105-7.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:37 PM ^
Another big play by Auburn and the Purdue defense looks like Purpoo. ?. Serves their roid raging DC, Nick Holt, right. I’m still salty about the Speight neck injury.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:39 PM ^
Purdue has quit. Great coaching job by Brohm.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:49 PM ^
Nothing like having your head coach interview like 5 times for a lateral move job only to be forced to come back to coach your sorry asses because his sorry ass wasn't being offered enough money to coach the other sorry asses.
That probably really fosters a "bunker mentality" with your players.

December 28th, 2018 at 2:39 PM ^
Hm. The refs really have no reason not to call things like that incredibly obvious block in the back that pushed the Purdue CB way out of bounds at the 50 (resulted in a TD). Auburn has speed that Purdue just can't match. Just let them play.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:39 PM ^
Michigan got blown up by a team that lost to this Purdue squad. Let that sink in.
BPONE
December 28th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
Purdue got blown out by Minnesota as well. This is just the normal purdue.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:44 PM ^
The sooner this BPONE shit dies, the better. It is quite literally the definition of being soft.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:48 PM ^
Amen.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:54 PM ^
BPONE is not something that can be put to rest by fans. It is a real condition that has been fostered from like 15 years of worst possible scenarios. How does a 2 point lead with the ball at midfield on 4th and 2 and no timeouts for the other team end up being a loss? The same way #4 in the nation-control-your-own-destiny-#1-defense-in-the-country-revenge-tour becomes a December 29th tilt against a middling SEC team with 4 of your starters sitting out.
It's BPONE man. It will die when it decides it no longer wants to live. Until then we are stuck with it.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:44 PM ^
Shut up. OSU would be laying the wood to Auburn in the same manner as Auburn is to Purdue.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:51 PM ^
Purdue had the planets aligned:
-Night game at home
-Kid with cancer on the sideline
-Urban took another week off
December 28th, 2018 at 2:40 PM ^
Looks like the Purdue defense all want to sit out the bowl game. Embarrassing the The Big10. Five possessions 5 Td’s for Auburn in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl
December 28th, 2018 at 2:42 PM ^
I heard the Purdue first team sat out the bowl, to finally install some AC in the visitors locker room. There was a picture of them at Home Depot on Twitter.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
Instant playing time for George Karlaftis.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:44 PM ^
So, Auburn could drop 100 on Purdue while Ohio couldn’t do shit.
Logic? Any?
December 28th, 2018 at 2:49 PM ^
Ohio State couldn't run the ball and struggled in the red zone. They did move the ball.
Auburn was a top 5 team for a reason. They have some players.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:44 PM ^
So I guess George Karlaftis has his work cut out for him in 2019 and beyond.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:45 PM ^
Holy shit, records will be broken.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:46 PM ^
Purdue is playing their coach how many millions of dollars? They stink.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:47 PM ^
I don't think I have ever seen a team score 42 points that fast. . .
So far, Purdue is giving one of the worst performances in bowl history. This makes Houston-Army look competitive.
December 28th, 2018 at 2:47 PM ^
Did I just hear that David Blough is an NFL prospect?
