First thing that jumps out at me watching the hudl tape is how effortlessly he throws it.  I always notice that when I see Patrick Mahomes.  Just a flick of the wrist goes 40 yards.

Don't know what video you all are watching but he is slow and arm strength is mediocre.  Have a hard time believing the coaches can't find a higher rated prospect.

Also keep in mind how much recruits can move in rankings. I bet the stargazers will be happy at the end of the year when he’s a solid 4 star.

Who cares about stars compare his highlights to Haskins, Tuglovia, Lawrench he's not in their class.

Sorry just telling it like it is, need superior athletes to keep up with the Jones   Didn't 62-39 tell you something?

Posting things like this will get you banned around these parts. Funny how the same people who bitched about Gil and Watson getting toasted against OSU are the same ones hyped up about a QB ranked in the 500's. You know who else was ranked in this range? John O'Korn and Wilton Speight.

He looks good, but the tape doesn't scream top 150-200 guy. His mobility appears good, but maybe a notch below McCaffrey. I'm more concerned about his arm at the moment, as I didn't see a lot of zip on his passes on his highlight video but that may be a function of his technique as he seems to throw flat footed a bit (sometimes because he has to). Doesn't mean that won't develop, just something to keep an eye on as he adds strength.

Awesome! I used to drive by that school when I worked there for my uncle about a decade and a half ago. The Pinnacle Peak. The wee lad was probably watching Pokemon back then and just learning to run. Go Blue!

Reminds me of Mcaffrey.  Can run but leaves you scared he is going to get broken in half with how he runs.  Doesn't have any zip on his balls, but hopefully that improves as he gets stronger.  Likely a bit of a project, but he won't be starting right away anyways.

I am dead serious.  A mobile Dan Marino....  Sometimes he has a clunky release, but sometimes he has that quick flip from the ear release and ball gets there a lot quicker than you think.  A little work with his mechanics and he will be a good one.  Fastest release of any young QB at Michigan in sometime.

I can see the Marino comparison.  A low L position and an abbreviated elbow roll (zero position).  Relies on the flick and forward extension to add velocity.  The motion might limit his distance and velocity, but he’s young and plenty of time to develop more arm strength.

He stands tall and fairly mobile.  Kid has potential and plenty of development time before UM needs him.
