Adjustments and Game Plan
Please someone correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like Ohio State actually looked at our game tape and saw how Indiana exposed us with the crossing routes (as the announcers comment with regularity) and then created a game plan around that exposed weakness.
Yet, with our offense, it looks like we are running the same exact plays we have run all season. I am no football coach so I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong. So for all you people with actual football knowledge (unlike me) are we showing any different looks than every other game?

We’ve got pretty much every whistle this game. I’m going to lose my shit if people blame this on the officials. Stop it.

Can we pull Watson please? I can’t remember if we have a serviceable replacement but he’s shook and is killing us.

Vanilla got the team here for this moment and they are down by 5, leaving nothing new on tape for OSU to adjust for at halftime. Now is the time where things change. Grind a little more, keep it close and close it out with little to no time for them to make changes.
Go Blue!

This is my feeling as well. Shea has hardly been involved in the run game yet. That has to be strategic. And more RPO’s have to be coming. Not taking advantage of aggressive linebackers in the first half. I’m sticking to this hope that it’s all part of the plan to hit them with reads in the 2nd.
And Bushell-Beatty isn’t in so there’s some adjusting from Stueber to overcome for this game.
And let’s not forget how well Don Brown adjusts at half time. We’ve got it close going into the break. No reason to believe we’re out of this (yet).

I don't know what to tell you other than there are no more extra wrinkles coming. Same thing every season with Harbaugh's offense. We think they are going vanilla and saving things, but when you get to the end of the season, we always realize there was nothing they were saving. Vanilla is the base and the extra toppings.

And, you are proven to be correct. That is just so disappointing. What have they spent time on EVERY week? Perplexing doesn't begin to describe it.
November 24th, 2018 at 3:22 PM ^
Or wishful thinking...year, after year. Ugh.
November 24th, 2018 at 2:00 PM ^
Osu is doing the same things they've done all year. No reason we aren't doing better defensively. Watson obviously was a strategic target they are picking on.

Swap Watson for Thomas for starters
November 24th, 2018 at 2:03 PM ^
Ya think? They prepare every week against M and came in ready to execute. Our D looks bewildered..

Adjusment 1.
I want Ambry Thomas in for Watson on the man coverages.
Go Blue.
November 24th, 2018 at 2:06 PM ^
It is what I was worried about. Despite that they have played subpar, OSU has superior athletes. Watson is really struggling. I wonder if we see Ambry in second half. We are still in the game. Offensive game plan was not good but if we play one good half, all is forgiven.

Harbaugh needs to stop being so stubborn. Throw the damn ball.

I’m one of the player interviews this week one of the guys (can’t remember who) said they hadn’t really gotten into Gil on OSU yet and I think that was Monday or Tuesday. Thought for sure that was a lie for the reporters but now I’m not so sure... separate from game planning, our Dline isn’t getting any pressure whatsoever. I thought their Oline was supposed to suck?
November 24th, 2018 at 2:37 PM ^
I’m not sure what you mean by reporters getting into Gil.
November 24th, 2018 at 2:09 PM ^
Every Single Game they go in at the half and talk about what worked what didn't, and come out running the plays that are working.
And then every Monday the same reporters ask "what change did you make at the half, coach _____" that allowed the team to win...

WIN THE GAME

Post want you all want. Fact is. Outcoached and outplayed. No excuses.

Can we play some fucking tempo!
November 24th, 2018 at 4:00 PM ^
Long time Michigan fan .... I’ve never heard of either of those terms.
November 24th, 2018 at 4:08 PM ^
Can I get a pass play on first down 30% of the time, is that to much to ask for?
November 24th, 2018 at 4:41 PM ^
Stop blaming everyone else. Harbaugh is overrated. You don’t want to fire him fine. Enjoy being 2nd in the division for the next 10 years
November 24th, 2018 at 5:31 PM ^
Patterson was pretty bad most of the day. Left a ton of plays on the field.
November 24th, 2018 at 9:55 PM ^
If pep called today’s game he needs to be fired. If Harbaugh called today’s game he needs to fire pep and get an O coordinator because this shit doesn’t work against better teams. 3 receivers any team in the country would kill to have, a 5 Star qb and we laid that fucking egg. I don’t wanna hear how fast OSU skill players are. We could do the same but choose not to. The game was over when we called a pass the 2nd play of the game and our o line olaied the defensive line for a sack.
November 25th, 2018 at 3:07 PM ^
Apparently the coaches thought it was Rutgers week, and failed to adjust when Ohio State
took the field.
