Per Wolverines Wire: Black expected to see limited snaps/Gary did not make the trip

Submitted by The Baughz on October 20th, 2018 at 9:59 AM

Title says it all. Black made the trip and is expected to see limited snaps. Unfortunately, Gary did not even make the trip. That’s a bit concerning, but it is what it is.

Cant link on mobile, but Wolverine Wire is where you will find this information.

I don't get how Peppers enters this conversation. Did you completely ignore his junior year where he was a consensus All-American and a Heisman Finalist as a defensive player? That year alone was better than 99% of most college players entire 4-year careers.

He missed two bowl games. I am not sure how that changes his career all that much.

Fuck. Like other posters said, I fear Gary is done. Sucks. I think we will need him today. I wish it was 4 already so I knew the outcome of this game. This lead-up has stressed me out.

On another note, Bush is fired up. He had to be restrained on the field in warmups. I hope he isn't "too" fired up. The band was walking thru the players warming up, and bumped some of the players. Today will be a blood bath.

Edit: It was Spartan players, not the band.

I would rather have 60 healthy guys in Lansing today than 59 and a cheerleader, even if the cheerleader is Gary.   I would rather have a fully healthy Gary against PSU or even later for OSU than a marginal Gary for today.  And given what we know about what a quality person Gary is, there is zero reason at this point to project anything negative on him for this.  Maybe it'll look different at the end of the season but I would be very surprised.

Definitely embarrassing and I wouldnt put it past Harbaugh to sit him out a few series for what he did. I love that he is jacked up, but come.... If you are going to embarrass yourself and the Univeristy like that, at least do it AFTER you beat them.

The disrespeck is turned up a notch at sparty stadium right now. On the Twitter's there's a clip of Bush kicking the Spartan logo. And as the Spartans matched down the field arm in arm like a chain gang the UM players refused to move or get off the field breaking up their little sparty chain gang.

Disappointing about Gary. I'm fine with and understand his caution and wanting to secure his future.  But ad a fan I can be disappointed and I am, especially with the talk of these "handlers"....partially because God knows this types ofn people have never been wrong or had ill intentions.

Michigan just needs to win, plain and simple. They are the better team, no excuses. Need to get that losing to ranked teams on the road off the table. Get over all these tough obstacles and make it a magical season! Play loose and play smart.

Gary is a stud and needs to do what’s best for him!

Hope Black is wide open for a td like aginst Florida!

Go blue!

Ugh, Gary not making a bus ride trip is not good news. Just a shame given how devastated he was last year.  I am sure he wanted to play and seek revenge.  Hope he is OK.  Wouldn't shock me that he tried to practice last week and re-injured the AC joint and maybe even needed surgery (explaining why he did not travel).

Rashan Gary no longer wishes to play for the University of Michigan.  Rashan Gary is saving himself for the NFL draft.  I understand Gary's decision/ . I do not agree with Gary's decision.

If Gary wont play versus Sparty, he certainly isnt going to play any other game this season.  Its over.  Move on.  Gary is effectively no longer a Wolverine.  Gary is now a member of the NFL draft.

Good luck to Gary.  I am sure the crazy money he makes in the NFL will greatly help his family.  Gary was a good player at UM, but never quite reached his full potential.  Hopefully Gary reaches his full potential in the NFL.

The next time you see Rashan Gary play a football game, it will be on a Sunday.  Sorry everyone.  Its over.  Accept it.

Agree - college football is changing for the worse.  I know the money is a big deal, but turning your back on your teammates is not a good look. He has a right to do what he wants but this is why while not being the best athlete, Chase is the better football player.

Jump to conclusions much? Why don't we let it play out a little, at least until after the bye week before losing your mind completely. If he is not healthy enough to dress, he probably does not make the travel roster for a road game.

He wasn't even dressed last week for a big home game against a ranked team. I don't know why some people magically expected him to play this week.

And if Gary suits up against Penn State in two weeks, you'll be just another internet know-it-all making a definitive statement about something you actually know nothing about. At a kid's expense. But will there be any mea culpa, an apology of any kind, or just another shameless bs post the next time there is something to be absolutely "sure" about?

My money is on the latter.

Good day to rake leaves. After Michigan loses Harbaugh better not apologize for anything Devin Bush did like that pansy Hoke.

Sucks about Gary, but good to hear about Black.  Is funny how certain "insiders" have been flip-flopping on both in the way random-ass internet rumors tend to go.
